You can bet that whatever position Ted Cruz takes, that it is 100% in the spirit of the US Constitution.

Cruz supported the (not much) Freedom Act, which places the burden on the phone companies to collect meta-data rather than the government. Either way, the data is being collected and stored.

The only candidate with the Constitutionally-correct position on this particular issue is Rand Paul, who vehemently opposed all forms of phone data collection on American citizens not suspected of wrongdoing.

Of course there has to be probable cause. Ted Cruz would not object to that.

But look at Paul’s language. He’s not saying anything different than what’s on the books now.

Rand Paul talks a good game because he knows how to throw red meat to conservatives. Like Fiorina he ‘sounds good’ but his track record is abysmal.

Don’t ever quote Rand Paul because he’s a very good liar that knows how to say just what you want to hear. As Ted Cruz says, say to politicians “Don’t tell me! Show me! By their fruits you shall know them!”

Rand Paul is a corrupt little weasel. Here’s the proof:

If you recall Cruz supported Rand Paul’s fillibuster on this issue.

Cruz cannot do much without support from other republicans and there seems to be little of that anymore for our side. He is wasting his time in this corrupt Senate.
