In Ark v United States (1898) it was established that Ark, whose parents were Chinese nationals living in San Fransisco at the time, was a natural born citizen of the United States under the conditions of the 14th Amendment because he met the two criteria spelled out in the Amendment. He was born in the United States and he was under the jurisdiction of the United States.

As much as people try to arm-chair interpret Constitutional Law and make up facts, obfuscate with rhetoric, or wish it weren’t so, the 14th Amendment makes it crystal clear that if you are born in the United States and are subject to it’s laws, then you are a citizen at birth and do not need to be naturalized.

Here is the Wikipedia write up and you can examine the case file at the second link.

I’ve read Ark vs. United States. I think it is bull spit.

Time to challenge it again. Not many people knew about it then.
