FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — St. Louis County police are investigating a Facebook post in which one of its officers discusses how he spent his “annual Michael Brown bonus.”

The Guardian (http://bit.ly/1LdORpa ) reports that Officer Todd Bakula posted on his Facebook page that he took his wife to a bed and breakfast using money earned for staffing the protests this week in Ferguson, where Brown was fatally shot by a white officer last year.

they will also look at your free republic postings.. never post anything that you would not say in person.

But how will they know? (Unlike Facebook, real names are not used on FR.)

Some people just never learn. Posting stuff on FB that will get you fired is just plain stupid. Don’t these people ever pay attention to current events?

“Stupid in your face comment. He should have kept his mouth shut.”

Indeed.

“Fact is cops make fortunes off their tax paid OT”

“Fortune?” Please let us all know what qualifies as a “fortune?”

“it's even schemed to pad their lucrative tax payer funded retirement pensions.”

All those that retire receive “lucrative” pensions? What is a “lucrative” pension. A number please. You are accusing all officers that retire of receiving "lucrative" pensions. That is news to the county and city guys here. . .and I've looked it up. Not enough to live on, that is for sure. Where are the facts and stats you use to back up your statement?

Or, are you referring to those located in select few demoncRAT cities where ALL city employees are paid a "fortune" and receive “lucrative” pensions. . .all.

“And in this case they stood around watching parts of that city burn while they collected OT?”

Ordered to stand down, ordered to not engage. With no support from people that have an anti-police agenda, and being the focus of anger and vitriol by agitators and race-pimping demoncRAT politicos, hard to expect them to violate a standing order and then open himself up to be fired and/or sued if little Mr Rioter gets hurt by an officer that was acting outside his remit.

“Now this guy brags and broadcasts to the world he and his wifey are enjoying all the extra OT money he got?”

Nothing wrong with spending the bucks how he wants, on what he wants. . .unless you are moochell and the messiah. Its his bucks, and the bucks he got paid for a B&B and a dinner. Hardly a heck of a lot of money.

“Gezuz...”

Indeed.

All those that retire receive “lucrative” pensions? What is a “lucrative” pension.

Do you live in some isolated cave? The so-called public servant pensions and corruption are choking off entire states.

______________________________________________________

In Yonkers, more than 100 retired police officers and firefighters are collecting pensions greater than their pay when they were working. One of the youngest, Hugo Tassone, retired at 44 with a base pay of about $74,000 a year. His pension is now $101,333 a year.

It’s what the system promised, said Mr. Tassone, now 47, adding that he did nothing wrong by adding lots of overtime to his base pay shortly before retiring.

Retired at 44?

A pension of $101,000?

I suggest you update and reboot yourself.

You just made my point: quoting stats from a demoncRAT city where ALL city employees reap the cash.

And quoting one demoncRAT city in the NE is not ALL of America. . .not by a long shot. You made a sweeping allegation and yet do not cite sources that impeach the retirement of all officers in all of America. Since you called all retirements of all officers lucrative then the responsibility is yours to prove that allegation. You have not done that. I suggest you reboot and clear your biases (one can hope. . .).

Knowing your ego will never allow you to admit how wrong your sweeping, no exception, generalization was, I move on. . .and as I do, anticipating your reply—you simply HAVE to reply, you can't help it—I direct you to my original Post and call Godwin's Law (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Godwin%27s+Law. . .replace “nazi’ with ‘bootlicker’. . .same thing)

Of course I am going to respond that bullshit. The majority of so-called public servants do not live and work in some rural counties. The huge majority of government employees cops/fire/bureaucrats/politicians and the rest work in liberal major cities and surrounding population centers.

Do you know of any conservative *major* cities or population centers run by conservatives?

Look, it's no secret tens of thousands of these "public servants" receive gold plated benefits, top shelf pensions, medical care etc. It's no secret many of those people retire in their 50s and pad the hell out of their retirements on the back of tax payers.

Get real.

Unless you’re technically sophisticated, Internet anonymity is pretty much meaningless if someone really wanted to locate and ID you. Even then, given enough time, they would likely succeed in pinpointing and ID’ing you if they were motivated to do so.

Desktop Apple Macintosh..not that its any better or any worse than a windows machine..

truth be told...the macintosh was the first computer I ever saw displayed with a monitor that had a decent referesh rate....

I wasnt impressed with the flickering crt monitors I saw connected to windows P.C.s..and know no better I assumed the flickering was due ti the P.C.s quality rather than to the refresh rate of the monitors attached to them...as displayed in most stores

Thank you
