I Have Disinvited Donald Trump to the RedState Gathering
Red State ^ | August 7, 2016 at 11:56 PM | Erick Erickson

Posted on 08/07/2015 10:48:17 PM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.

He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.

Decency is one of those lines.

As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.

In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.”

It was not the “blood coming out of her eyes” part that was the problem.

I think that is true. And I’ve been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.

But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.

His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.

I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trump’s place tomorrow night.

I think the American people would take anyone other than the back stabbing Muslim traitor in the Oval Office right now.

Minneapolis? I haven’t paid close attention, but I thought he was here in GA. I believe he was on the Macon city council several years back, and I’ve seen him at Republican events.

OK, didn’t know that - but leprosy is contagious, not very, but still contagious, and apparently EE was not immune.

This toad, Erick, attends seminary school and was also on his radio show Earlier this week talking about how his limp microphone needed Viagra because it might swing away from him because it wasn’t stiff enough. He’s all over the place.

She acted exactly as Trump interpreted it.

I don’t think Tump is anymore an emotional train wreck than Kelley obviously is or for that matter many of the career politicians currently in office.

The public was entitled to an explanation of where the candidates stood on the issues and the candidates were entitled to a level of respect. We gotn neither. We got instead Kelley’s insulting personal attacks and Baier and Wallace’s personal political bias against conservatives and in support of RINOs.

Their cavalier treatment and insulting dismissal of Trump will surely lead him to run as a third party candidate, insuring the election of a Democrat. And people who fail to perceive that are politically naive.

Megyn Kelley may very well have lost the Republicans the Presidency in 2016 through HER emotional train wreck didplay, aided and abetted by the RINOs running FOX.

Kelly admitted in a post debate interview that she was sick and she had some dr give her pills which got her on state.

I only caught a glimpse but it was clear she was saying she was REALLY sick but for this miracle pill.

Kelley has behaved in a similar manner in the past with her interviews of other individuals.

Most certainly but Obama isn't running....and we don't want someone who can't contrast with Hillary, or has painted a target on his back, the one that Hillary can easily and repeatedly hit bull's eyes with the "axes" that Trump is handing to her.

I think Minneapolis was a joke based on the Minnesota/Wisconsin sounding name. Born in Louisiana to an oil business family.

Is Ericson giving refunds?

Who goes to a conference where a single person can change the whole program you paid for?

Are these all McCain supporters?

I don’t think so, and I am a conservative supporting either Trump, Cruz or Walker. Add up the Black vote the Hispanic vote and the congenital Democrat votes, and split the opposition and the Rats wi.

Which proves the point that it is all about him. Always has been.

Megyn Kelly has always been about Megyn Kelly - she's a media talent - that's what she's paid for and that's what she delivered for Fox.
