Huma Abedin's records waylaid for 2 months

Abedin's records waylaid for 2 months

The State Department's request that Hillary Clinton's former deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin, return any work-related emails in her possession went unreceived for two months because of issues with delivery of State's mail and email messages asking for the records, according to Abedin's lawyers.

After the controversy over former secretary of state Clinton's use of a private email account and server for official business erupted in March, Abedin was among 10 current or former State Department officials asked by their former agency to provide any similar messages on their private accounts.

But Abedin's lawyers said she didn't receive that request for more than two months after it was sent on March 11.

"Our ability to respond unfortunately was slowed by circumstances beyond Ms. Abedin's control," Abedin attorneys Karen Dunn and Miguel Rodriguez wrote in a June 29 letter made public in a court filing Thursday. "The Department's initial correspondence, sent by mail and dated March 11 , 2015, was returned undelivered to the Department on April 17, 2015. Similarly, we understand that your office attempted to send an electronic mail copy of that letter to Ms. Abedin, but that email was sent to domains (@clinton.senate.gov and @hillaryclinton.com) that, as of March 2015, had not been active for the past several years."

"Your request ultimately reached Ms. Abedin through counsel on May 19, 2015, when we received your letter via mail, along with the returned envelope and a cover note dated May 12, 2015 explaining that the letter had been returned undelivered. As a consequence, Ms. Abedin received the Department's request for documents more than two months after it was initially intended to reach her," Dunn and Rodriguez wrote.

It's unclear why State Department officials had so much trouble tracking down Abedin, who is currently vice chair of Clinton's presidential campaign. It's also not clear whether State's snail-mail letter was sent to an old address for Abedin, a wrong address for her or was returned for some other reason. The State Department declined to comment on the delay.

The letters filed Thursday in connection with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought by the Associated Press (and posted here) indicate that Abedin turned over copies of some records to State beginning on June 9. At least three other Clinton aides, former Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, Director of Policy Planning Jake Sullivan and communications adviser Philippe Reines have also returned records to the department in response to the same flurry of requests.

If that was the IRS asking US for something, I am sure this excuse would fly, right? I continue to be amazed at what the corrupt bureaucrats expect us to believe as “truth”, and the way the lapdog MSM just swallows it, never questioning the motives in these delay and coverup tactics.

THE NY POST REPORTED: Hillary's State Dept staff arranged an event honoring famed designer Oscar de la Renta at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Ark...... while being paid by US taxpayers. De la Renta designed both Abedin’s and Chelsea Clinton’s wedding dresses, along with Clinton’s two inaugural gowns — which were displayed at the Clinton Library "retrospective."

=============================================

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley this week wrote to the State Department demanding more information about Abedin’s “special government employee” status — designated for workers with a unique skill — which allowed her to hold down three jobs simultaneously....all w/ ties to Clinton interests.

Sen Grassley suspects Abedin's unusual employment status violated US conflict-of-interest laws. NOTE Hillary gave Abedin special employment status in which Abedin worked simultaneously for: (1) the State Department, (2) the Clinton Foundation, (3) as a private consultant, and, (4) consulting Teneo, a global financial firm w/ Bill Clinton a member of the board.

One recently released State Dept email shows Abedin and Hillary pal Cheryl Mills in collusion, conspiring to force taxpayers to subsidize Abedin's travel expenses.

=========================================================

Hillary disingenuously said "she decided" to run for president while lounging around designer Oscar de la Renta's beach house in the Dominican Republic.

The de la Renta beach house.

HUMA ABEDIN UPDATE: she is currently vice-chair
of Hillary's 2016 presidential campaign committee.

Sen. Charles E.Grassley's (R-Iowa) inquiry WRT possible “criminal” conduct by Hilary aide, Huma Abedin, got a response from State Dept investigators who concluded Abedin was overpaid by nearly $33,000 because she claimed leave time pay even though she was actually on leave.....a violation of US govt rules governing vacation and sick leave.

Sen Grassley needs to determine whether:

<><> (1) Abedin is still on the State Dept payroll collecting govt checks (an old bureaucratic trick), and,

<><> (2) whether Abedin violated 18 U.S.C.§1027; Abedin might have made false statements and colluded to conceal activities in relation to documents required by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.

It is also possible that Abedin's collusion w/ Hillary, and other hidden offenses could include civil and/or criminal RICO violations. Hillary allowing Abedin's several employments could also involve BUT not be limited to:

<><> Title 18 U.S.C. §1341, Mail Fraud, 18 U.S.C.§1001, Presenting a False Document to an Agent of the US Government (involves several felonies and could include forgery);

Possibly infractions centering on RICO conspiracies under 18 U.S.C. §1962(c); investigations could be warranted because (1) the persons (2) were employed by or associated with an enterprise (3) that engaged in or affected interstate and international commerce and that (4) the persons operated or managed the enterprise (5) through a "pattern" (6) of racketeering activity, and (7) the taxpayers were injured by reason of the "pattern" of racketeering activity.

Alleged Offenses could include Violation of Title 18 U.S.C. §241 – Conspiracy Against Constitutional Rights – which prohibits in relevant part, “two or more persons (from conspiring) to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same . . .” See, 18 U.S.C. §241.

Looks like Cheryl Mills is another hardworking girl.

These people don’t miss a trick.

If Pantless Bill could remain president even with the crap that was exposed about him

I can see why they think they are untouchable.

BIG QUESTION——

WHICH is more corrupt?

The Clinton Machine?

or

the Chicago ( Soros Obama Jarrett Rahm Emmanuel Penny Prtzker etc ) Machine ?

Somebody should tell the Congressional committee.
