Florida has more private property at risk from flooding linked to climate change than any other state, an amount that could double in the next four decades, according to a new report by the Risky Business Project.
By 2030, $69 billion in coastal property in Florida could flood at high tide that is not at risk today, the report found.

o noz!..this is hugh and series!!!
Basically, this article cites a bunch of Global Warming cultists, some Republican, then bashes those of us who realize the whole issue is an excuse for big government to invade our lives.
BTW, this is the HEADLINE on the Herald today.
Spewriffic.
Let me know when ocean front prices start dropping. I’m not holding my breath.
So is should be easy to show us lots of pictures of the devastation wrought by climate change, right?
Florida has more private property at risk from flooding because most of Florida is at, or slightly above, sea level.
“a new report by the Risky Business Project”
Princeton could use a guy like you Joel...
sorry, but whatever was contained in that report was overridden by Rebecca De Mornay.
Knowing we are nearing the end of an interglacial period...and it is a cycle(ice ages)..the question I ask them is:
“What can man possibly to to stop the onset of the next glacial period.”
I never seem to get an answer....It leaves them speechless.
British television has a series called Time Team, where a group of archaeologists go to sites around England and dig up clues about its past. One episode had them go investigate what was once a thriving seaport 1000 years ago but is now completely underwater. Apparently the ocean gobbling up coastline is nothing new.
The real threat to private property everywhere comes from statist who want to control or seize your property by tyrannical decrees such as declaring water puddles navigable waters.
It’s not global warming that’s the problem! Florida is sinking because of all the “ boomers” moving down here. Just ask Hank Johnson and he’ll explain it.
Miami Hopes Storm Pumps, Seawall Will Protect Against Rising Seas
I know people who have worked at The Miami Herald.
Physically you might be safer working in Baghdad.
Considering Florida has more coastline than any other state, it is no surprise if the climate cultists were correct, Florida is the most impacted by fake global warning...
There is nothing man can do to prevent the Oceans from rising or falling. The money would be better spent building towards higher ground and it’s not like this is an imminent danger. If any common sense at all is used, somewhere in the distant future some old inhabitable properties MAY have to be abandoned to the Seas. Either that or our land mass will grow and what is now beach front property will be a few miles from the coast. These people aren’t idiots, this is all about control of the populace.
