Can it be called decapitation when your head turns into a pink mist?
One of the Joe Picket novels by CJ box had that happen.
Very bad guy had kidnapped Joe’s daughter & was going to kill her. When Joe caught up with him (his daughter still a hostage), he first was going to just center mass shot, then instead blew off his arm at the elbow.
All I can say is that after the very awful things this killer had done others and was going to do to a little girl. it was hard not to cheer when the arm was pulverized.
Had a co-worker who missed at in the same room distance. Bird shot took off the left side of the guy's face. He ran out and died in a neighbors yard. The co-worker didn't enjoy the experience so much. It did stop the guy from sneaking in in the middle of the night and touching his daughters.
