When will Jim banish Trump supporters from FR, like he did with Giuliani advocates? [JR @ 305]
one man's opinion...

Posted on 07/25/2015 2:15:15 PM PDT by ken5050

On 4/23/2007, Jim Robinson posted a manifesto, "Giuliani as the GOP presidential nominee would be a dagger in the heart of the conservative movement" (and a knife in the back) . The thread was subtitled, "The only difference in a Liberal Rudy Giuliani and Liberal Hillary Clinton is the fact of which bathrooms they select to use and there are some who are willing to even question that.

For me it was right after the 2014 elections, and we conservatives came out to bat for the GOP, they got the Senate, and then we waited for what we came out for, the promises that they would fulfill; namely:

1. Repeal Obamacare
2. FIGHT Executive Orders
3. Investigate, charge, try and convict for:
A. IRS; B. Benghazi; C. Fast and Furious; D. Dept of Veterans Affairs
4. STOP Amnesty
5. Build the DAMN FENCE!
6. Indict Harry Reid

What we got:

1. Obamacare continues
2. Footsey with Obama
3. Stern letters against Obmama admin officials
4. Loretta Lynch skates in
5. Obamatrade approval
6. Corker’s (R-TN????) voting away Senate treaty Advise and Consent CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY
7. Taking down Confederate Battle Flags

WHAT THE HELL DID WE VOTE FOR???

I believe PROLIFE is a mountain compared to all the other ant hill issues. Killing at least 1000 babies every single day,24/7....nothing compares to that. Some say 2000 some say 4000...it makes the Nazis look like nuns.

That being said. When the GOP has the Presidency and both Houses of Government they did nothing....they could have used the nuclear option in the house and passed legislation to increase the requirements of clinics so high that it would have put them out of business....but nope.

Sooo.....we shall see what President Trump will do. Judging from what I have seen he will easily out executive action odumbi and maybe we can save the children.

But what I fail to understand is why Jim Robinson has not as yet banished all the "Trumpsters" from FR?

Because if you "banish" a whole swathe of people simply because they support some different candidate than you do, it's a good indicator that you're a petty, small-minded, idiotic, low-intelligence moron who can't deal reasonably with other people who disagree with you, that's why.

I just state my own opinion and position, even if it goes against the grain of the whole forum. My experience is that if your position is a truly conservative one, and you’re not a jerk about it, you don’t get yourself in trouble around here.

As is being demonstrated by the candidates who are bashing Trump, often you achieve the opposite of your goals when you seek to knock out your opposition too early. There must be respect for the process and for the right of all to be heard and to make their case.

It is not my website, but it seems the goals of this website are clear. So there is no need to tolerate promotion of Democrats. As for Republicans, it would be my preference to have more substantial debate and less invective between the Republican candidates. I think that would serve the goals better than to just either ban or slam some candidates as a way to promote one candidate. All it leaves us with is the choir. All the potential converts are chased away.

Regardless of what you think of a republican candidate, it is wise to remember that the candidate’s supporters are the very people you will need with you if your candidate wins. If you make them hate you, they will transfer that hate to your candidate. it is simply human nature. It will be much easier to win the support of fellow republicans in the general election than it will be to win the support of the crazy left. Some republicans try to make the GOP a “big tent” by offering liberalism-lite. All they do is drive out conservatives. The tent becomes smaller and less coherent. We need to argue that principle with words — study and hard work that produces debate winners. If we argue it with invective we only aid them in pushing us out.

Every purge has been a bad idea. Made FR less interesting, and made the freepathons take longer. So as much as I despise The Donald, and think conservative following him are confused, I hope there’s no purge.

The thing to remember is that we can’t really trust any of THEM because only GOD knows what is in their hearts and what they will do for money and to save their own asses behind closed doors. The thing with Trump is he has a lot to lose because of all his holdings if America goes away so let him fight for it for now. Let him poke the media, Democrats and dweebs stinking up our party. We always have Cruz. The lesser of all the evils can still be an evil.

BUMP
I wasn''t a Rudy supporter either so I eventually skipped reading Rudy discussions. I had to search for and find THE Thread to understand some of the bans. They seemed to WANT to be banned.
Disrespectful indeed.

I listened to his 40+ minute off the cuff speech in Iowa. The guy makes more sense than all of the Presidential Candidates from both sides put together, excluding Cruz. The guy knows the system from a layman's perspective. It's interesting.

I agree with you on every point (which would usually make me feel slightly dirty).

The only circumstance I can see for action against Trump supporters is if he goes Ross Perot on us, which would open the door for Hillary.

Trump DONATED to the slush fund known as the Toon foundation, and in a big way....

because Trump says one or two things that people like does not mean he isn't just the Trojan horse to break the pubs back, thus electing Hitlery....

Clintoon never came in with big numbers as far as the popular vote....IIRC, more people voted against him then for him...yet, he "won" two terms...thanks to buchanon and mostly to perot and his idiots....

we need an ELECTABLE leader with conservative leanings....we don't need a pure holy man....Rudy would have been fine with me...as would Rubio now....

There are for certain some troubling points concerning Trump but a lot of folks are hoping that his change is authentic and not just a stunt to sell Trump.
