I am not from South Carolina but I do know that when she ran for governor she said she supported keeping the flag where it is. I think the point to most people is that if she will cave so quickly and completely on this, what will she be willing to cave on next? RKBA? Who knows? If the GOP-E is known for anything, it is known for caving to anything the ‘Rats make noise about.
Too late Grahmnesty...you and McLame and Romney and Jeb, etc. have already accomplished that.
Does she really hate it? She may just be trying to put the whole thing behind her.
The left is not going to stop with this victory.
Nobody in politics decides to stop after a win. But usually, they run out of gas somewhere along the way. The energy or outrage dissipates. People get bored and the country moves on to something else.
She is also trying to destroy the concept of personal responsibility by implications that the flag is somehow responsible for those horrible murders.
The left is not running out of steam. They have been been gaining, as the liberal Kirsten Powers points out. And Nikki Haley deliberately supported their agenda. Did she lie prior to being elected about supporting the flag? She certainly did not have a problem with the flag until after she was elected. I just recall that while running for office serious accusations were made against her that were dismissed as being just by political rivals.

I agree with you. It’s amazing how the long knives came out against Trump when what he said was actually a fairly accurate description of the real world. He never said all Mexicans are rapists. He never demeaned all Mexicans.
She let the sleeping dogs lie. That's to say, she regarded the flag as a settled issue that it wasn't worth making a fuss over one way or the other. Keeping it up or taking it down wasn't a priority for her.

What, you mean the slut rumors? It's shameful if as soon as you have a disagreement with her you go there.
If you are referring to her alleged affairs, there are those phone calls. Some 700? And there are her claims of converting to a Methodist. Yet she attends Sikh temple, and she and her husband sought blessing from a Sikh clergy, even touched his feet.
You can google some of the things the blogger who claimed he had the affair wrote. They’re disgusting, and yes, it’s shameful to give him any more publicity. I’d like to believe that one can disagree with somebody without getting into the gutter to attack her as soon as there’s a problem.
