Ted Cruz On Supreme Court Rulings: ‘Some Of The Darkest 24 Hours In Our Nation’s History’ [AUDIO]
The Daily Caller ^ | June 26, 2015 | Al Weaver

Continuing his critique of the Supreme Court’s recent decisions on Obamacare and same-sex marriage, Sen. Ted Cruz said Friday that the rulings mark “some of the darkest 24 hours in our nations history.”

Cruz made the comments in an interview on Sean Hannity’s radio show Friday afternoon.

“Today is some of the darkest 24 hours in our nation’s history,” Cruz said.

“I couldn’t say it more eloquently,” Hannity responded.

“Yesterday and today were both naked and shameless judicial activism,” Cruz said. “Neither decision — the decision yesterday rewriting Obamacare for the second time. Six justices joined the Obama administration. You now have President Obama, Kathleen Sebelius and six justices responsible for forcing this failed disaster of a law on millions of Americans, and simply rewriting the law in a way that is fundamentally contrary to their judicial oaths.”

“And then today, this radical decision purporting to strike down the marriage laws of every state. It has no connection to the United States Constitution. They are simply making it up,” Cruz said. “It is lawless, and in doing so, they have undermined the fundamentally legitimacy of the United States Supreme Court.”(continued)

time limits for judges need to be implemented. Just look at Ginsberg, the woman is senile, falling asleep all the time , and even gave a sham marriage to homosexuals a few weeks ago.

They don’t even recuse themselves anymore due to them knowing their job is safe

>> Election Day 2008 and 2012 were evil damaging days for the USA also

The defining moments that inevitably gave us today’s SCOTUS.

There’s a process that needs to be followed, as defined in Article V of the Constitution. 2/3rds of the state legislatures need to vote in favor of a convention of the states before it can proceed. Currently I believe 4 state legislatures have approved it. Many others are in the process of debating the issue. I agree that we need to pressure our state legislatures to approve this. It is vitally important - now more than ever.

I am too lazy to post the National Review piece Ted wrote today, but his solution, a Con Am to allow the people to periodically vote to retain or replace SCOTUS Justices is WAY OUT OF LINE. Like 17A bad. Ted would be better off pushing to repeal 17A... if there were no 17A, I have no doubt that the whole issue of states rights would be vastly differnet and the entire character of the Judical Branch would be closer to the equal branches originally intended.

My sense is that under a Trump Presidency, there would be some issues, those core issues that make up the centerpiece of his campaign, where he would do extremely well, maybe better than any other candidate would be capable of, but that in other areas where he has less interest, he would shoot from the hip and would likely perform poorly, maybe even disasterously.

“He had already fulfilled his obligation and done his dirt with the obamacare case. He was not needed on the same sex case or he would have been Johnny on the spot.”

“Today is some of the darkest 24 hours in our nation’s history,” Cruz said.

My exact thoughts.

Even if it was just a symbolic jesture....I would like to see conservative members of the House bring Articles of Impeachment against the Five Justices that sodomized the entire nation. Even the Chief Justice recognized they had NO basis in the COTUS for doing so.

And if the party says that it is not four but five -- then how many?

Four.

The people of this country voted for it.

If you mean by voting for Obama, then sure.

If you mean by voting for "homosexual unions" in their state, that's incorrect.

Almost without exception, "homosexual marriage" was declared by judicial fiat, without the voters in those states having a say one way or another.

Ted Cruz has been speaking out against gay marriage even before this day of wickedness.

Hooray for Ted. He is exactly right.

As much as I despise the idea of perverting the meaning of “marriage”, the more serious problem is the subverting of the Constitution.

Words no longer have any meaning, because SCOTUS can twist them to mean whatever they choose them to mean.

I’m not giving Roberts any brownie points for this. I’m betting he traded his vote yesterday for someone else’s vote today or some other such nonsense and subversion of his oath.

True to it’s form, the words House of Cards have a new meaning as of today.

No nation, or society can, nor survive without the under pinings of God, his word, and his church.

America has finally lost it’s Christian morings, a ship adrifft in a ocean of storms.

I’d put Election Day 2008 and 2012 ahead of both today and 9/11 on the list. Reason: The media manipulation and vote fraud that put 0vomit in office set off the whole chain reaction of events that brought us to today. Those elections put us on a rapid downward spiral. 9/11 was horrifying, but the aftermath of 0vomit has cost far more lives and will continue to do so.

Cruz or Walker are my current top contenders. I respectfully disagree that Trump is an option. IMO, he is using this as a publicity stunt, not as a serious candidacy. Also, I fail to see how a man who has been bankrupt multiple times is a sound choice. In my book, he’s a grandstander. His only advantage is that he is not afraid to say controversial things (which get him attention and publicity).

Because of itchy ears window shopping voters waiting for a candidate to play the pied piper leading them where they think they want to go, but a shrewd deciver will lead them down the path that they never initially didn’t want to go.

Trump the trumpet player pied piper is a shrewd man playing his tune knowing there are those with itchy ears who would gladly listen to what he has to say.

The bible says in the book of Proverbs that says that there is a way that “ seems “ right into a man, but the path there of leads to destruction.

Does words : we told you so ? Ring a bell ?
