The governor was raised by immigrants. Do you really think they could transfer the American mind to their daughter, when they did not have it themselves? It is impossible to cross a border and leave your alien ways of thinking at the border. Becoming “Americanized” doesn’t happen overnight. If you moved to Mexico, how long would it take for you to imbibe all the subtle nuances of Mexican life? And loyalties?

The governor was raised by immigrants.

My father and his brothers were raised by immigrants.

You were saying?

Excuse me but my Father was raised by immigrants (Polish & Ukrainian) and there was no one more patriotic than my Dad (now deceased & a WWII vet of Pearl Harbor)! Unless you're 100% American Indian heritage, somewhere along the line people in your family were "raised by immigrants".

The governor was raised by immigrants. So what?

Do you really think they could transfer the American mind to their daughter, when they did not have it themselves? How do you know they did not have "American" minds? They came here and successfully made a better life for themselves and their daughter, did they not? What is more American than that?

It is impossible to cross a border and leave your alien ways of thinking at the border. And how, pray tell, do you know that this is the case 100% of the time? I had friends in high school and college who came here from Vietnam and Cambodia ("boat people"). They had given up any loyalties they had to their countries of origin even BEFORE they left, and they were/are some of the most loyal Americans I have ever known.

Becoming “Americanized” doesn’t happen overnight. It can. If a person comes here because they love this country.

If you moved to Mexico, how long would it take for you to imbibe all the subtle nuances of Mexican life? And loyalties? Irrelevant question. I am not planning on emigrating to Mexico. I am an American and a Virginian. My loyalty is to the Constitutions of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

PS - What does any of this have to do with Ann Coulter being off her game?
