Far from me to want to defend Rove, but in watching the program, he ended that awkward statement with a disclaimer to defer the desire to repeal to those liberals that emphatically want to repeal the 2nd Amendment.
FNC along with all other news, has done the bend over backwards, pandering, to tell the world they are not sympathetic to anything race or gun. Their contention is that this insane kid (who should have never been given or sold a gun) overshadows and nullifies the reality of black crime and riots in McKinney, Ferguson and Baltimore.
To me your take on it makes sense
My very first reaction to this young man’s violent shooting act at the Church was, “Wow, this is what the Welfare State has created - millions of boys who live with moms, families with AWOL Dads, and on Ritalin to ‘control’ their violent tendencies. Thanks, Democrats, for encouraging out of control boys...”
Why wasn’t this Rove’s initial and instinctive reaction?
My LAST reaction, thanks to common sense and John Lott’s research would have been - “Gee - we need to get rid of the 2nd amendment & guns.”
