Or he had one or more partners who knew the layout of the church, knew when the prayer meeting was going to be, and thoroughly briefed him.

If this was a planned hit, the shooter would have been imported from far away, been briefed, done the op, and would be out of town in a different car within the hour, and at least a thousand miles away before morning.
