Some of these proposals are reasonable and some are not. The gun buy back programs and the “job training” programs have never been effective. We already have a job training program it’s called High School.

Conservative Answer to Gun Violence:

1. Bring back fathers

2. Put the criminals in jail

3. Allow the law abiding to own a gun and defend themselves

4. Make work noble

Doing something is better than doing nothing, but he is highly unlikely to get his money’s worth.

How about walking the beat to get these gangbangers back to Church, worshiping God? How about the parents do the unthinkable and do some parenting?

These bureaucrats will never admit it’s the Godlessness that causes the lion’s share of tragedy, not lack of taxpayer funded ‘programs’.

"job training and a real jobs program for areas with high levels of violence, unemployment and poverty."

"In January 1964, Johnson declared “unconditional war on poverty in America.” Since then, the taxpayers have spent $22 trillion on Johnson's war."

Where, exactly, did that $22 trillion go?

Let me guess without even reading it
  1. More taxpayer funded programs and, of course,
  2. more gun control

Its all about culture and immorality of the heathen class. I would move out then fence it off and air drop guns in.

Okay, so:

parenting workshops

Feels good;

strict enforcement of curfew laws

So long as that includes arrests...

expansion of drug courts and other therapeutic court models

More bureaucracies...

broader use of sheriff’s deputies in high-crime areas,

FINALLY: more beat cops (who also could become cannon fodder)

stiffer penalties for people illegally in possession of firearms

SHAZAM!

an expansion of gun buy-back programs, and

Like THAT'S never been tried before

job training and a real jobs program for areas with high levels of violence, unemployment and poverty.

Ah, the State-Department-Chick-With-Goggles ploy!

Some of these make sense, except they’re nothing new and liberal politicians have been doing this stuff for a long time... they don’t know how to effectively administer programs such as these. Now, we have criminals walking around with dozens of arrests on their rap sheets and they have no fear that anything serious will ever happen to them if they continue down a path of crime.

The to do list reads like a list of things which are completely ineffective. It looks foolish to those of us in the Red areas.

Already been done, and it doesn’t work. We are where we are today because people have done the same stuff they outlined. It doesn’t work.

Go after the violent criminals. Lock them up and no early releases. Don’t plea bargain out the armed felon charges (like they always do) on violent offenders. Shoot the bastards if they resist arrest and save us all time and money.
Get law abiding folks interested in being armed law abiding citizens. Let them know officers are desirous to have good people in the community that do not want to be victims/statistics.

‘...job training and a real jobs program for areas with high levels of violence, unemployment and poverty.’

Yeah, that’s right - people break the law, so throw more, more, MORE taxpayer money at ‘em.
