Why? The simple answer: money. Or rather, even more money.

I always thought prostitution was illegal, except in Nevada. At least in some cases, the poor lady is trying to survive so at least there is a purpose to it as bad as it is. Congressmen on the other hand are selling this country down the river, that makes it much worse, at least the young lady I mentioned is not doing that.
A quick and straightforward fix to this would be a law that requires all (ALL) lobbying for or against a bill bar contributions to any campaign or political organization. Alternatively, ALL contributions made at any time and in any way related to a bill before Congress must be made to the general fund/citizenry as a whole. This would apply for a period from introduction of the bill until ten years following final vote on the bill.

First, such a bill would have to be drafted by someone. Second, who would vote for that if it cut off the purse strings to themselves. Very few I doubt.

The author also misstates the facts when he says that the bill will not be available for” debate or amendments”. The bill can and will certainly be debated. It must then pass on an up or down vote.
Did these Senators accept money from Goldman Sachs? If that’s true, the source is irrelevant. It’s important we know how sold-out those Republicans who traitor us at every turn are.

The senate is full of cheap and easy whores and they are proud of it’s a shame people don’t remember things like this at election time.
For now, they are most concerned with two issues:
1. Investor Protections versus protections for labor(union), environment, and social welfare. The corporatists are insistent that the investors be protected from "creeping taxes" that are masquerading as a labor regulation or environmental regulation.
2. Certainty that the Arbitration Panel has the authority to resolve disputes that may arise over these protections, and that the internal judicial systems are required to "honor" the decisions made by the Arbitration Panel.

The Senate PASSED the TPP bill, which is still secret, and any senator who discusses it is liable for criminal prosecution. How that can be allowed is beyond comprehension. This is tyranny.
