The Islamic State (IS) group says it was behind a suicide bombing on a Shia mosque in Saudi Arabia that killed at least 10 people.

The attack in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province is the first to be claimed by the Saudi branch of IS, which was formally established last November.

The claim was posted on Twitter with an image of the bomber by an account that is a reliable source on the group.

IS has previously threatened to attack Shia Muslims in Saudi Arabia.

Witnesses reported a huge blast at the Imam Ali mosque in the village of al-Qadeeh, in Qatif governorate during Friday prayers.

A doctor at the hospital told the BBC that at least 10 people were killed and about 70 injured, "some very critically".

Dear Saudi Arabia,

You paid for these loons, you clean up your own mess.

Sincerely,
America

Not the first incident in that town. There was a shootout between police and gunmen in March. It’s not in the boonies. It’s right in the heart of the Eastern Province, right by Aramco facilities in Dhahran, Abqaiq and Ras Tanura.

Yeah, I’ve been waiting for this.

The Saudis thought there were too rich and powerful to avoid the dogs of ISIS? Think again.

Now. Now we see what Saudi Arabia will do. I’m willing to bet the farm they won’t respond in some pansy-Obama style of appeasement.

Conflicting reports from different news agancies now that the death toll has risen to 20-30.

Curiously, CNN has yet to mention this, despite the news being several hours old now!!

Saudi Arabia thought they'd benefit from the ouster of Assad and the void created in that region?

I don't know why we're on the same side as those radical islamist globalist control freaks when they're conspiring against leaders who defended Christians and other minorities. We're STILL arming them!

That’s exactly right. The Soddies earned some grief fair and square since they’ve been using Yemen and the east as dumping grounds for their undesirables for half a century or more. And I’ve said for decades that the Soddy royals are going to get their throats cut by the same people they’ve been paying to stay quiet for the same half century. I guess it’ll be fair when the new swordsmen they’re trying to hire turn out to be the same ones who carry out the sentences on the Royals.

The degree of corruption thru the ME cannot stand for long and we have to guard that it doesn’t creep in here——in spite of the dimokrats. A summary trial, based on the 10th Amendment, on the steps of SCOTUS, would be a good start to keeping our own gummint honest.

The Saudis have always relied on surrogate armies to defend them. Now with Obama in office, who will the Saudis turn too?
Will they actually fight their own war? On two fronts?

I’m betting the Russians will end up stepping in and saving the arab world from ISIS at least. Iran is another story.

Let the Middle East take care of its own turf. It is nothing but trouble and frankly we helped in creating that turmoil.

We gave them a chance with trillions of our dollars and thousands of our lives and it didn’t work out. If you asked many Iraqis today they’d probably say they were better off with a secular dictator than anarchy by radical Muslims where no one is safe over the last 12 years. There were no radical Muslims under Saddam or they’d be executed. Christians were safe in Iraq too. The USA would definitely be much better off, and I’m tired of apologists saying we got rid of Saddam and multiple dictators when they were replaced with anarchy and worse. All of these fiasco’s had big costs, ask the gold star mothers and wives. The incompetent neocons and interventionists need sent packing far away from the halls of power..

We have more than enough work to do in America. My choice would be to end the billions in aid we send to the ME and start spending it to put the USA first.

We made a huge mistake, now cut our losses and seal our borders and rebuild America for Americans. I’m sick of hearing McCain and others saying we need to do more. We need to wash our hands.

Well since the muzzies all use the mosques as armed weapons camps and staging areas, bombing them seems okay to me. Ain’t that what you do to the enemy’s ammo dumps?
