Yesterday U.S. Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power tweeted the following:
Power is referring to Emma Sulkowicz in this tweet. Sulkowicz is a young Columbia University student who carried around a mattress on her college campus as part of her own "carry that weight campaign." The goal was to show how heavy the burden of rape is on a woman. She said she had been raped and that she would follow her rapist with the mattress, the "weight," until he was brought to justice. There's just one problem: she made the rape up.
Paul Nungesser, the Columbia University student accused of raping fellow student Emma Sulkowicz, is now suing the university for doing nothing to stop Sulkowicz's harassment campaign against him, which he claims "effectively destroyed" his college experience, reputation, and future career prospects.
His lawsuit contains a wealth of new information about the contested sexual assault, including dozens of messages establishing Sulkowicz's sexual "yearning" for Nungesser, which she sent to him both before and after the alleged incident.
Just a few short years ago Afghan women had no rights at all. For Power to compare a Columbia University student who lied about rape to get attention)-- to women in Afghanistan is absurd, an insult and completely out of touch with the realities of true injustice in the world.

We had a Muslim woman lecturing students here in NYS. Someone asked if it is true that you can be stoned for adultery. The woman responded without hesitation....”We have our laws”.

Kabul, Afghanistan, was a cosmopolitan city in the 60’s. From photos of the time, there appeared to be women in schools, clean paved streets, and gardens surrounding the city. Of course from snippets you never get the full idea but the thing wasn’t a bombed-out crater, and I assume the pix of girls sitting at their desks at what’s obviously a school, in their school uniforms, means they weren’t afraid of being machine gunned in the next 5 minutes.
Somehow they convince themselves this stuff is real even after they have cut and bruised themselves, vandalized their homes or cars and built news stories with false evidence. These new age liberals should be judged as dangers to society and sentenced to psychological counseling.
I vehemently disagree that the Obama Administration is Morally Bankrupt.
To be bankrupt suggest that one had at one time a positive balance sheet.
The Obama Administration came in to office with a Zero on their moral balance sheet and has been losing credit ever since.

A honest statement, which is an oxymoron when you have a muslim lecturing you on morality would have been.

She was lecturing children, 8-10 year range, on Islam.
So the person asking that question was between the ages of 8 to 10?
We all know Samantha is not going to conquer the world with her brilliant mind. That she rose to her current position, proves the Peter Principal is alive and well in the Democrat Party.
