Fox Business Network Unveils Revamped Lineup After Don Imus’ Exit

Fox Business Network has released a revamped lineup, just one week after “Imus in the Morning” host Don Imus announced his exit from the net.

FBN is replacing Imus with a Maria Bartiromo-anchored business news show, “Morning Money With Maria Bartiromo,” taking over the 6-9 a.m. timeslot and following a 5 a.m. market-focused show.

Following Bartiromo’s three-hour program will be an expanded “Varney & Company,” also airing for three hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Neil Cavuto will take over from there in a new move to daytime, taking his “Cavuto: From Coast to Coast” from noon to 2 p.m.

IMO: it was Imus's time to retire, for it was long over due.

OUTSTANDING.

This is very good news. I never saw the need for the entire morning to be Imus.

Fox please get your network channels serious about news.

News.

FOX “News”, attacker of Sen. Cruz for
Team Romney-Soros-Obama-Rove, deserves NO respect.

None.

Never understood how anyone could watch or listen to Imus. He isn’t funny at all. He knows nothing about anything.

And the most boringly slow speech pattern

I could never watch more than a few minutes ... maybe twice in my life

He was a shadow under a hat to me.

He was O.K. in the very-early 69-70s when I moved to CLE. I actually was able to talk to him (once and ONLY once) during his broadcast, (when we all had a power outage in my neighborhood-IMUS announced it to his listeners.)

And the way he went after Rush L, as if he was the most dangerous person on the planet. Yet he scoffs at the notion of Obama being a radical. Just shows how friggin clueless the idiot is. He also frequently attacked Palin. The guy is a grade-A moron. And not the least bit funny or entertaining, IMO.

I am objecting to the entire loss of Geri Willis program at 5pm Eastern. It is a very good CONSUMER-oriented program. I’d prefer it to be moved to the 7pm hour if at all.

I’m with ya on all points. I saw about 1/2 of five of his shows, or so, during various hotel stays that had cable.

Quite overrated, to say the least.

I used to listen to Imus back in the early 90's- he seemed actually quite conservative back then and the parodies were really funny- The General Patton one comes to mind.

He used to really rip the Clintons back then.

The show really changed a lot after Sharpton did his number on Imus following the Rutgers basketball deal. Imus has no balls at all.

Lol! That’s ok. One of the most popular comedy shows today is that God-awful “Modern Family”, at least according to some dopey awards group which voted it such for the past 5 or so years. American pop culture is a far cry from what it used to be. Actually very sad what’s happening to us.

Is he leaving radio too? Because then they could put Curtis & Kuby back in morning drive and that would be the best news I’ve had in a long long time, radio-wise.

Lemme take a stab at that, because I agree that he really isn't that smart or well informed. However, he SOUNDS very smart and very well informed, as he has a commanding voice and impeccable timing. Having said that, he's been past his "sell by" date for years. He was WAY over the hill for his entire FBC career.

I say this because I studied and wrote about the juxtaposition of the outstanding broadcast quality of the MSNBC simulcast show - with the actual intellectual bankruptcy of what was being said. Then, of course, he was pandering to the left to keep his cred with MSNBC. It was really a shameful performance - and yet they did it very well. Thus it was funny when it was the left, the folks he had pandered to for years, who ran him off the air after the Rutgers women's basketball team 'nappy headed ho's' deal.

“He knows nothing about anything.”

To be fair, he knows abortion is wrong, which is more than a lot of people know. He doesn’t bang the drum about it, but I’ve heard him say it. Not a fan, but I appreciated that.

Imus was good to listen to for a couple of reasons.

Turned off the DVR a second or two after he said he loves Hillary

The thought of him broadcasting that drive time on the radio to the tristate was nauseating

Turned it back on until he said how much he hated Cruz and with such loathing

I thought he would have to retire. No one pretending to be politically neutral can keep up that much hatred for Cruz. He is a good man. They’re all going to regret having positioned themselves against him or way underestimating him
