David Cameron's second term as British Prime Minister was confirmed Friday after his Conservative Party won enough seats to form a working majority in the 650-member House of Commons.

Shortly before noon Friday, London time, the Conservatives, or Tories, had won 324 seats to 229

It would be the first time the Conservatives had won a parliamentary majority since 1992. Cameron is the first Conservative Prime Minister to win re-election since Margaret Thatcher.

WHAT? No way. You can't win an election with a Conservative message; especially a "majority".

It is not a landslide at all. Most of the country voted against him and his majority will be wafer thin.

Labour was undercut by the Scottish National Party.

And please for gods sake don’t call it a conservative message, that is an insult to real conservatives.

He is a damn lefty, always has been always will be. A party of the EU, Climate change morons and gay marriage advocates is not conservative.

Not exactly a landslide, but better than expected.

Cameron is essentially the equivalent of a Democrat in most policy areas. There might be room for some immigration reform but the long slide to oblivion continues.

David Cameron came to this country a few months ago to lobby for Obama’s nuclear cave-in to Iran and he called US Senators.

“Conserrvative” David Cameron doubled his country’s national debt.

“Conservative” Cameron legalized gay marriage.

“Conservative” Cameron will now work for a fake deal with the EU and rig a referendum campaign with his business elite supporters to keep the immigration spigot the big business crowd wants running.

“Conservative” Cameron scared people about Labour and the SNP, now he will switch around and cut a deal with the SNP on automony.

David Cameron is business as usual politics at its worst.

The pollsters reporting numbers that were EIGHT POINTS off of the actual tally, even earlier this week, adds to their shock and surprise.

(polls reported at 34 to 31, ended up at 31 to 36 the other way)

And I think the Conservative Party used postal ballots, the equivalent of absentee ballots in this country, to beat UKIP in their best seats like Nigel Farage’s one (South Thanet) where he lost.

Which presumably would have been within the margin of error anyway.

The ‘Conservatives’ are as conservative as the GOP.

Words mean different things over there. Boot, fag, etc.

However, Labour is far-left, as are the Liberal Democrats, and they both lost BIG today. THAT is the good news. Maybe UK is waking up, finally.

UKIP also showed that they are viable for 2020, with 12 percent of the vote. Just 36 percent took the majority, and in a "first past the post" system, being seen as the top alternative to the opposition gets you a lot of seats, as this election proves. If UKIP is seen as the main alternative to a left-leaning Conservative party, rather than Labour and LD (who got trounced and marginalized today), then they stand to make HUGE gains in 2020.

Eight points is HUGE. Most polls are around 2-3 percent margin of error. Their polls were showing triple that, and calling for the wrong party to win, in a not-terribly-close election (11 million to 9 million). That's far from "within the margin of error".
