I think we are out of sinc, I would never use a canned product that was leaking, whether home canned or commercial.
I do use my old tomato canned products when they spew while opening them. At first I thought that meant they were bad, but it seems to be common with them, I puncture the can, and it often sprays a little, (spits).
Agreed; I wouldn’t either.
Slight gas build-up isn’t abnormal, in sealed food products.
