Sixteen out of the 28 EU countries want the bloc to label products from Judea and Samaria in an economic attack on the Jewish state, diplomatic sources told AFP Thursday, confirming a Haaretz report.

The plan was first mooted in 2012, but the 16 member states told EU foreign affairs head Federica Mogherini it was now time to press ahead as part of efforts to force Israel to divide in a “two state solution.”

The 16 include Britain, France, Spain and Italy but not Germany. […]

… (A) senior Israeli diplomat told the EU “labeling products from Judea and Samaria is a yellow badge,” referencing the “Jude” stars the Nazis forced Jews to wear during the Holocaust. Thursday marks Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Despite the EU claims, the 2012 Levy Report proved proved conclusively that the Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria is legal according to international law. Despite the report being commissioned by Binyamin Netanyahu’s government, it has yet to be adopted. …

Because 20 arab states isn’t enough. And 50 muslim countries isn’t enough. And one jewish state is too many.

Not by half. The US did it for a mere two years, which is nowhere near long enough.

Of course it is NOT an attack on Israel as much as an attack on the people who worked to make those goods.

meanwhile muslim countries which murder gays, have virtue police for women, kill apostates and punish women for being raped... aren’t targeted by the BDSers.

Heck Saudi Arabia has an apartheid situation at mecca and BDSers ignore it to focus on Israel a country which allows muslims to vote, worship and travel...

“Europe as a whole was never de- Nazified.”

It was - they had a good 30 or 40 years where things were very good.

The problem was that it was then de-Christian-ified, which meant that it no longer had a means to stop the people that are in the process of “transforming” the place to Muslim.

But don’t you see, if Europe puts its thumb down on Israel, then ALL of the Islamic countries will stop ALL of their killing and raping of women and Christians as well as their terrorist attacks and there will finally be world peace. /sarcasm

If they are gonna label Jewish products, then I demand they label Turkish, Palestinian, Russian, Chinese, Cuban, & Iranian products so that I may avoid supporting their tyranny & terrorism.

Better yet, ALL product labels should prominently display the country of origin.

I agree that the de-Christisnization of Europe is a tragedy. And the Islamic takeover there is Europe’s death knell. It will be doomed ( and the slaughters of its non- Islamic populations will make WW-2 look like a kindergarten recess game). My reference to “Europe as a whole was never denazified” had in mind that the denazification effort was largely limited to Germany - Not much done to help cure other countries with anti- Semitic problems

True, but other than Poland immediately after the war, Jews had it pretty good throughout Europe - at least until the repopulation program began.

Jews had it pretty good throughout Europe?
What Jews?
Most of them were murdered by the Nazis.
Some of the starved, dying survivors were left languishing in the death camps long after the end of the war...

Somewhere in Europe immediately after the war, there may have been some Jews who “had it pretty good” maybe, but I’ve not heard of them and ... more to the point, that wasn’t typical.

Remember, too, that most of the survivors had already had their families slaughtered .... and their homes confiscated ....or destroyed....

Jews throughout Europe (Poland excepted) had it good immediately after the war? I respectfully have to disagree. That was not the general situation for those poor people. Not by a long shot.
Best,
fhc
