As he did with Rand Paul, Ted Cruz praises the entrance of Marco Rubio into the 2016 race for president:
Today U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released the following statement regarding the announcement that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., will also seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States:
Marco is a friend and colleague whom I greatly respect. Were both the sons of immigrants who escaped Cuba to build a better life in the United States, and we share a deep appreciation and understanding of what it means to work hard and achieve the American Dream. Marco is a talented communicator and part of a new generation of Republicans stepping forward to promote conservative solutions to our pressing challenges. He is a strong addition to the Republican field, and he will undoubtedly elevate the debate for all of us.
Especially Paul. He gets snarky about everyone else. I am not anti-Paul, but I don’t see how he wins this...and don’t think he’s the right guy.
Aj... Marcus Rineo...
thats a great point...very Reaganesque and dont think this isnt being noticed by many many potential supporters.
I seriously doubt he expects the favor to be returned. This is the GOPe after all.
Class Act.
Cruz/Rubio?
Class Act.
Please no Rubio.
Senator Cruz is honoring President Reagan’s 11th commandment. Hats off to you Senator Cruz!!
Rubio has already shown us he sides with illegal aliens and their employers by scheming with Schumer against the citizens with his Gang of Eight. He should just go away.
“Especially Paul. He gets snarky about everyone else. I am not anti-Paul, but I dont see how he wins this...and dont think hes the right guy.”
Paul is done before he even gets out of the blocks! I’m glad Kentucky is going to make it possible for him to run for his Senate seat even while he runs for President.
Cruz is a statesman. Its one the reasons I will vote for him...
Although I am hoping when Jeb enters the race that Cruz just tweets out
#barfalert
are you joking?
Just asking the ?! no, don’t like Rubio - with his amnesty gang of 8 crap, no way.
When Cruz announced, they weren't candidates (officially).
I like Cruz’s confidence in his own abilities.
Good that Cruz observes Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment.
Can't wait for the primary debates and watch him run circles around every one, especially Jeb Bush.
My suggestions to Senator Cruz would be the following regarding domestic and foreign policy in no certain order:
1. Maintain his class act, while de-constructing his primary opponents' positions with facts and reason;
2. Continue to use his intellect and knowledge while delivering his message to the lowest common denominator (LIV's). That can be tricky, since the LIV's don't want to hear it;
3. Consistantly, make the point that America was indeed, "The Shining City on the Hill", and that so many nations have followed our past example into personal freedom and prosperity. The "Shining City" has now become a shadow of itself;
4. Explain the reason that it no longer is because our institutions of higher learning now completely ignore America's amazing accomplishments/leadership and promote socialist and communists who indoctrinate false evil anti-American propaganda;
5. When confronted by racists, simply say I'm a product of escaping the totalitarian Cuban regime and used that opportunity to make myself a better person. Do you really want the coninuation of appeasement that is NOT working around the world with enemies who want to kill our American Dream?;
6. Give our new voters a history lesson about the bad guys of history and how they are still there are building weapons to kill them.
7. Give everyone a reason to rejoice in America's past and that we can once again provide jobs to citizens and legal residents.
I once wrote this up better, but you get my gist. Cruz can do this if he just makes the "gimmes" understand they are no better off under Hillary's continued Obama freebie policies. They will never have self-worth until they recognize that taking from others makes them less worthwhile. I think many will get it if articulated well enough.
Then I could go on about Obama "bowing" to kings, emporers, and other leaders because he believes you and I are still a product of past imperialism, which was the way of the world back then. It no longer is, other than radical Islamists who want to kill every one.
