A glittering line-up of Hollywood stars is poised to back Hillary Clinton's bid to become US President by raising millions for her campaign.

The former Secretary of State and wife of ex-President Bill Clinton is expected to announce her 2016 candidacy today in a video released on social media.

And political pundits say plans are already in place to hold fundraising parties as early as next month.

Mrs Clinton's most high-profile Hollywood backers include director Steven Spielberg, and actors George Clooney, Barbra Streisand and Tom Hanks.

DreamWorks studio boss Jeffrey Katzenberg has said: 'Hillary is the best qualified candidate. She will be America's first female President.'

Reports in the US said Mrs Clinton, 67, is aiming to raise £1.7 billion – double the amount spent by Barack Obama on his re-election campaign in 2012.

The first official word that she will seek the Democratic Party's nomination is expected to come via an online video posted on social media.........

Spielberg is politically naïve. It is slowly dawning on some Jewish liberals that the “progressives” they so generously support are at their core viciously anti Semitic and really hate their guts.

I never have liked Hanks or his movies. Big was mildly entertaining but since then no. I may be the only person in the country who has not watched Forest Gump.

Hollywood’s touts, “We support the Troops!” and turns around to endorse Hillary....what vile and disgusting lies....I having been one of those troops don’t want Hollywood supporting me or other militarily members....a bunch of leftist who have done nothing but use others for riches and safety....if they did actually Support the troops ...then they would not be supporting any leftist!

If someone didn’t write it out for them in advance they would be speechless. They only spout dialogue written for them by others. They are called “Talkies” in the movie racket.

I've seen it once. That was enough. There are one or two memorable lines in it.

I can remember a few years ago, someone posting a real gem of a comment here that basically stated “Actors are like vases, you can put things in them in order to make them attractive, but they do not have really many other uses.” Needless to say that observation certainly applies here.
