During the height of President Clintons Monica Lewinsky scandal, a White House maid entered the bedroom to clean and was shocked to find the president and first ladys bed covered in blood.
The blood belonged to the president, who said publicly that he hurt himself running into the bathroom door in the middle of the night.
But the White House resident staff believed differently. As one worker told author Kate Anderson Brower, Were pretty sure [Hillary Clinton] clocked him with a book.
There were at least 20 books on the bedside table for his betrayed wife to choose from, Brower adds, including the Bible.

Which is pretty good evidence that it is a lie. Besides, she knew what was going on. She permitted it. If she 'struck' him, it was over something else, not Monica.
Remember the black eye ? I believe that was a misinformation thing as well.

Based on the fact that the Clintons and their staff lie, I think they SAID it was an ashtray because they don't want us to know what it really was.
They were lying about the ashtray, and they are lying about the book (imho) and for the same reason.
I thought the staff signed confidentiality statements.
I wonder if she was the one who hit harry Reid to.
Poor Billy. I’ll bet that hit to the noggin’ made him lose his place on thinking about watching “black” churches burning in Arkansas.
I hope it was a thick book—maybe War and Peace! Or Some other amble volumn. Good for her! She needed to use a poker from the fireplace! She should have hit him enough that he would have looked like Sen. Reid.
