Harry Reid Says He Won’t Seek Re-Election
NY Times ^ | MARCH 27, 2015 | By CARL HULSE

WASHINGTON — Senator Harry Reid, the tough tactician who has led Senate Democrats since 2005, will not seek re-election next year, bringing an end to a three-decade congressional career that culminated with his push of President Obama’s ambitious agenda against fierce Republican resistance.

Mr. Reid, 75, who suffered serious eye and facial injuries in a Jan. 1 exercise accident at his Las Vegas home, said he had been contemplating retiring from the Senate for months. He said his decision was not attributable either to the accident or to his demotion to minority leader after Democrats lost the majority in November’s midterm elections.

He’ll have plenty of time to heal now, until he gets the crap beaten out of him again, or falls down his next flight of steps.

Hopefully he’ll live long enough to be indicted, fined of all his ill-gotten gains, and shamed for eternity.

“Great, now we’re going to have to see and listen to Schumer.”

So is sleazebag Schumer (and Madoff confidant and backer) now going to get his job? Add another corrupt notch to the Democratic Party.

It was allegedly Schumer who called off the SEC watch dogs when Harry Markopoulis handed them the Madoff case on a platter. http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/0210/Schumer_denies_report_he_called_SEC_on_Madoff_probe.html

“Hopefully he’ll live long enough to be indicted, fined of all his ill-gotten gains, and shamed for eternity.”

In case you haven’t noticed real accountability on the part of elites and others doesn’t happen much in America anymore. I’m against corrupt Ds as much as Rs. But the political class has created a level of immunity for themselves from prosecution and from media coverage. They know if they go after one side the other side will go after them, so they’ve created a truce, to our detriment.

This immunity is what drives corruption because they have no real deterrent. Harry will be untouched and have a fortune.

One thing I respect about the French, they sharpened the guillotines when they had enough of elitist corruption.

We now have 3 Democratic Senators retiring.

Reid, Boxer, and Murkowski. Of the 3 how many can we pick up? 1 for sure, and maybe 2 IMHO.

The question begs, how many more too follow. Grab the popcorn.

Hopefully by then we have a Majority Leader with a spine and testicular fortitude...

Proof that the Democrat cesspool is self cleaning. Just another feces piece flushed out during the expected draining.

Looks like his last dealing with “rough trade” had to be labeled “exercise equipment”. Which may not be untrue, euphemistically speaking.

I highly doubt our justice system has gotten more just since 1982.

It's not the justice system. If you belong to the "Club" you have no problems. Doesn't matter what party they belong to, they cover each others asses!
