Skip to comments. Is Grover Norquist an Islamist?

Paul Sperry, author of the new book, Infiltration, in an interview calls Grover Norquist "an agent of influence for Islamists in Washington." When asked by FrontPageMag.com why a Republican anti-tax lobbyist should so passionately promote Islamist causes, Sperry implied that Norquist has converted to Islam: "He's marrying a Muslim, and when I asked Norquist if he himself has converted to Islam, he brushed the question off as too 'personal.'" As Lawrence Auster comments on this exchange, "Clearly, if Norquist hadn't converted to Islam, or weren't in the process of doing so, he would simply have answered no."
Indeed, Norquist married Samah Alrayyes, a Palestinian Muslim, on November 27, 2004. On the one hand, Islamic law limits a Muslim woman to marrying a man who is Muslim; this is not an abstract dictum but a very serious imperative, with many "honor" killings having resulted from a woman ignoring her family's wishes. On the other hand, they were married in a church by the Rev. Stephen T. Melius of Weston United Methodist Church in Weston, Massachusetts.
Grover Norquist has for some years now been promoting Islamist organizations (though less of late), including even the Council on American-Islamic Relations; for example, he spoke at CAIR's conference, "A Better America in a Better World" on Oct. 5, 2004. Frank J. Gaffney, Jr. has researched Norquist's ties to Islamists in his exhaustive, careful, and convincing 2003 study, "A Troubling Influence." He concludes that Norquist is enabling "a political influence operation to advance the causes of radical Islamists, and targeted most particularly at the Bush Administration."

When Islam touches gold, it turns to shi...er...Obamastuff.
Sooner or later the liberal masses of idiots will have to reluctantly conclude that it must be exterminated.
Grove is in it for bribes.
Students of the GOP establishment take note: new documents revealed by ProPublica, the George Soros-funded "investigative journalism" outfit that supplies free content to media outlets, reveal that Rove's fundraising behemoth Crossroads GPS supplied $26.4 million of the approximately $31 million Norquist's outfit, Americans for Tax Reform, spent in 2012. That's about 85%.
In the corporate world, if one company owns 85% of another, that company is properly called a subsidiary.
Agreed. He sees Muslims as another source of money and he doesn’t care for party or country. In other words, the man is a greedy SOB and a slimy individual.
Norquist ought to realize that there are legitimate reasons to wonder about his Islamic connections and do his best to rebut them, rather than give the snarling response of a perp who is on the verge of being discovered. If he can make a good case for his innocence, employing grace, wit, and persistence, there are conservatives of good will out there who will believe him.
Is the bear a Catholic?
Does the pope poo in the woods?
Thirty years ago, a friend of mine, a very prominent pro-lifer at the time, attended a few of Norquist’s weekly meetings of activists. He lost interest in Norquist quickly. He noted that every time the subject of abortion came up, Norquist had no interest in actually doing anything about abortion. His focus was entirely on how to use the “abortion issue” to help this or that Republican.
Screw him, Ralph Reid and the other “College Republicans”
He is, at a minimum, a crypto-Nazi, Mudslime...
Yes. Next question: “Why is he trying to infiltrate the NRA?”
At best it is a love of Money for Norquist, at worst it is a Love of the Mad ‘Mo.....
FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE!!

The one story is telling when one of his friends brought up that he should be concerned about allegations of Islamist ties, Grover supposedly De-friended him on the spot and we ate not talking about facebook, we are talking in real life on the spot as in he and his wife left his house and never talked to him since. sorta thing.
