It's going to be hard for the Republicans to field a presidential candidate as enthusiastic about the H-1B visa as U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). Cruz, who announced his presidential bid this morning, once proposed an immediate increase in the base H-1B cap from 65,000 to 325,000. Cruz offered the H-1B increase as an amendment in 2013 to the Senate's comprehensive immigration bill.

Around here its called a tax via the SCOTUS decision
He could pay the 2% tax and be safe from those Death panels that Sarah kept warning us about.
This threads a doozy HAHA
I’m busy raising money for Ted Cruz whilst also posting threads.
Here we go again, trashing one of the best candidates we have in exchange for nothing.
To pay for his Obamacare?
No, pissant/humblegunner, not to pay for his health insurance.
How did we learn that?
If you're referring to Obama, Rush Limbaugh eviscerated that argument from Charles Krauthammer; Obama has run rings around Congress since day one!
So much for "executive experience"....
Aren't they known as some kind of hyphenated patriots? :o/
Who told you about my other names?
Ted can always raise $$$ from those employers who want to replace us Americans with workers from those other countries for less $$$.
Oh, boo-hoo.
Its only day 2 and Ted's campaign seems to be rolling off the cliff already , good thing we still got Walker.
The Dems are still dogging him threat that he is.
Are they still going to call us purists now? Lol
As if this is what made you a Walkerite. What a hoot!!
Ted Cruz Raises Half a Million In First Day As Presidential Candidate

I am also upset that he's getting Obamacare, those are the last straws....I want my $5 back from Cruz.
RE:”Ted Cruz Raises Half a Million In First Day As Presidential Candidate”
Peanuts.
Jeb’s getting a fifth of that from each donor at his next dinner.
I also heard someone being interviewed who was knowledgable about this who said the severence agreements usually include a "non-disparagement" clause that prohibits those being replaced by H1Bs from speaking publically about what was done.
ou an I know that. JQ Public learns in eight second sound bites. Cruz wants more H1B foreigners to take your job. That will sink him if he does not make his position clear.See this thread for proof.
Saboteurs.
Exactly!
This isn’t about Cruz, this is about their preferred candidate and trying to damp down enthusiasm for Cruz.
Because as of right now, Cruz has left everyone else in the dust where the base is concerned so they have to try and find something negative about Cruz, anything will do.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but I am not asking questions because I am a saboteur with an agenda...I really resent what you are saying.
Actually, I am questioning his positions because I really like him...want to back him, but I want to know his position on this issue as well as every issue. I cannot tell you how many times I have been let down by candidates and politicians who I thought would be excellent but turned out to not measure up once elected.
I consider myself being responsible trying to learn candidates’ positions and seek the truth.
“Saboteurs”
To which I say “so what?”. This is politics, and how you find out about a candidates positions, how well they can support them and defend them from attacks.
And I’ve noticed little hesitation from those for whom Cruz is their “preferred” candidate to “damp down enthusiasm” for other candidates. Like Scott Walker.
Which is fair play, IMHO. I’m undecided right now, could vote for either Cruz or Walker. And these sorts of debates will help me make an informed decision. I welcome them. But I will say that the sense of entitlement I’m seeing from a good number of Cruz supporters is off-putting. Luckily (for Cruz) it won’t be a factor in who I decide to vote for.
Write him and lay it out for him that way. The answer might be enlightening. Failure to answer would also be an indicator of a problem. Better to find out sooner than later.
Same here, but it's awfully scummy. It's like finding out that Ted likes tentacle porn. Whereas I was willing to crawl over broken glass to vote for him now I'm shuffling and saying "Oh well" at the prospect. It's such a douchebag position to have - and the sad part is that they ALL have it.
