Good post, and allow me a few thoughts on the executive experience thing: the Presidency is not an executive position now....hasn’t been in years. It’s a leadership position, a set the direction position, a bully pulpit position.

Consider Obama: zero executive experience, and yet, he’s accomplished EVERYTHING he wanted to. How? Not through competence - but through appointing like minded people throughout government.

If Ted Cruz can do FOR America what Obama has done TO America - it will be an astonishing success indeed.

Good thoughts. Particularly about leadership. That's one reason why I leave the executive experience factor lower on my list.

I do think the bamster could have done a lot more had he been more experienced, say as a governor, his first couple of years; his inability to get Obamacare through on a fast track was a sign of his inexperience. He could have done a LOT more damage with more things had he been more capable.

I do believe Cruz will be able to jump start quickly and learn from the bamsters early mistakes, mainly because of what I said before: His ability to handle the media is extraordinary. When the entire force of the MSM is aimed at him and his policies, I think he can handle it, much as Reagan was able to.
