This is the first time that I have actually sent cash. I've given time and shoeleather, but the first time I've actually sent cash to a politician. I don't do that lightly.

You and me, both, Johnny. Last night was the very first time that I've ever given money to any politician, but I tell you, it felt great to lend that support to Ted. I felt even better after hearing his speech today.

I'll be sending more, just as soon as I can spare it. I'm all in with Ted.

The framers of the constitution wrote lived in a world of unlimited resources.

The founders were stuck on this ball of rock, like we mostly are. They didn't have 'unlimited resources'. They were stuck with Terran resources.

Some don't count all the resources of the Sol Solar System as 'unlimited resources'

Change the unlimited to a boundry condition like Terran resources, and I might agree.

It's not received as you think it should be.

He has a rare quality others will find hard to duplicate; he can tap into peoples emotions/feelings while simply stating the facts.

I've said many times, that one of the primary attributes of anyone aspiring to the office of president, MUST be a certain level of charisma. All true and successful leaders have it.

This is so important, that it's on par with a politician's political record and agenda. It's why people follow them, and why they give their sweat and treasure to help them achieve victory.

It's the ability to INSPIRE. Ted's got it in spades.

I’ll believe it when I see it.
.........
Fair enough. But its probably a good idea to keep an weather eye on worldwide electric car production.
.................
A study has found that while the overall proportion of electric cars on the road remains small, the segment is showing massive growth over time.

The Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has collated sales volumes from electric automakers around the world, finding that more than 400,000 zero emissions vehicles were sold in the year up to the beginning of 2014.

That’s double the 200,000 that were sold the previous year, which, in turn, is double the 100,000 cars sold up to 2012. The study suggests that while this kind of exponential growth is likely unsustainable, by 2016 there will be more than one million electric cars on the road worldwide.

Love Ted’s symbol/logo. It looks like an American flag in the shape of a flame, which very much communicates to me in these perilous times.

I think it represents many things about us and our country - the eternal flame of our founding principles, the torch of liberty being carried forward by each generation, the fire of longing within our hearts for the restoration of this magnificent land.

Brilliant positioning.

Would have been MUCH BETTER if he had delivered the same speech in about 15 minutes, maybe, just maybe, 20 minutes. TOO PONDEROUS.

I could have listened to Ted speak about his ideas about America all day. I am starved for that type of uplifting talk from a real American leader.

Will Tesla cars be produced mostly here? See my Comment #74.
...............
Yes. Tesla is doing both their auto production and their battery production in the USA.

Further, net offshoring ended last year.

A convergence of technological changes from advanced robotics to 3d manufacturing will make it important for manufacturers to produce their goods nearer to their market. The supply chains currently are too long.

Over 50% of US manufacturers in China are currently at some stage of reshoring their production.

There’s something like 2 trillion dollars of US corporate money parked overseas that won’t be repatriated for investment in the USA until tax laws are changed to make it profitable for them to repatriate their money and invest it in the USA.

He will definently get the tradition conservative Hispanic vote.

His words he chooses and the inspiring style he sounded like Ronald Reagan.

If he sticks to conservative issues he will bring out the conservative vote.

Say no to milk toast Jebs, or Paul Ryan, Paul Ryan reminds me of Martin O’Malley to much.

Heads up!....

Democrat Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley will replace Hillary and run against Cruz if Hillary is forced out of the race by her State Department..and she may well be glad to do so and spare the Clinton Dynasty from further exposure.

This guy was on a campaign swing in Iowa over the weekend and has a team in place...seems to be the favorite with Demoratss...Just a heads up if folks aren't aware

Ok I’ll give it a boundary condition of Terran resources.

Some don’t count all the resources of the Sol Solar System as ‘unlimited resources’
............
But in another 60 years or so at current rates of technological innovation resources in the Solar System will be available for exploitation. (There are companies founded already in the early stages of mining surveys.) While those resources are not unlimited—they are many orders of magnitude greater than those available on earth. Just as the resources available in America in 1780 were many orders of magnitude greater than those available in Europe—especially for ordinary folk.

A good political markting tool would be a 2016 Cruz the Teddy Bear.

The Teddy bear came into being because of Theodore Roosevelt.

Paul Ryan reminds me of Martin O’faully , only with longer hair.

O’Faully is as bad and sneaky as Hillary and Obama, but with charm and a smile on his face.

Tyranny with charm and a smile.
