Many of us who did not vote for Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election found some solace in the notion that Obama’s presidency, if nothing else, would ease racial tensions.
The poll numbers suggested the same. In the month of Obama’s inauguration, 79 percent of whites and 63 percent of blacks held a favorable view of race relations in America, something of a high water mark in recent history.
Those paying close attention, however, saw reason to worry. There were forces on the left, the White House included, that were prepared to use Obama’s presidency to drive the races further apart.
Initially at least, this was less the result of some grand master plan than of the collective instincts of various seasoned operatives: Democratic strategists needing to keep their base scared; race hustlers wanting to preserve their power; trial lawyers hoping to hustle up a payday.
None of these operatives could have succeeded, however, without the blessings of a media whose editors and producers had no nobler motive for race baiting than the swelling of their own self-esteem.
I saw this even before the 2008 election when I advanced the thesis that Barack Obama had considerable help with his master work, “Dreams from My Father.”
Apparently, I needed New Yorker editor David Remnick, whose chief hobby seems to be imputing racism to people who live west of 10th Avenue, to set me straight on my motives.
Incensed that Rush Limbaugh had aired my thesis, Remnick allowed that this was not “Limbaugh’s most racist insinuation,” but he insisted that our collective “libel about Obama’s memoir – the denial of literacy, the denial of authorship – had a particularly ugly pedigree.”
This ugly pedigree stuff was news to me, and I have a Ph.D. in American studies with a literature emphasis.

Rush said it best back in 2008 when he predicted that having Barack Hussein Obama would only make race a further issue because it is how he FEELS - the CHIP on his shoulder that characterizes his actions. He has incited race baiting first with the Boston cops “acting stupidly comment” then with Trayvon Martin and then with the whole thing down in Missouri and Michael Brown tragedy.
Whatta bout the govt cops shooting that woman of color with 0bamas kid in the back seat near the White Mosque a year ago or so?
Would their dream turn into a nightmare if a rogue black cop did, in fact, kill an innocent young white boy?

They appear to be trying very hard.
If they do, and it happens. Which it has. In multiple communities. Maybe not all out bloodshed. But if it ever comes down to blacks killing whites on the street. The outcome will not be good for black people. Plus, whitey has the brown Rio De Grande marathon swimmers on their side in a race war.

If by the left we mean Barky and Eric Holder the answer is yes.
The pseudo-revolutionaries among the hard left think they want a race war. The “ordinary” left, and their plantation slaves, just want more government and more welfare, respectively.
Honestly ask, does Farrakhan want it? Does the Muslim brotherhood want it? Black Panthers want it? Urban Feral blacks, do they want it?
They certainly appear to.
If there is a race war those lefties will be equal opportunity targets but they don’t think of that.

No. It would be brushed under the rug. The “left” control 80% of the media. And there would be plenty of them tossing out excuses.
The left does not care about people, they care about winning, power and control. Not only do they want a race war, they’ve been building up their lies for 50 years to keep racial tension alive.
They know they have to create problems to ‘overcome’ else their facade falls apart.

The left consider blacks as a disease. That’s why plan parent hood, which was created by the liberal left, kill so many black babies. A race war would speed up the culling much faster.
No the Marxists want a revolution with racial hatred as the catalyst. Many of the cannon fodder will need some motivation beyond mere class envy, and racial animus has historically proven a strong impetus towards violence. In any case, theirs is a fool’s errand at this time. They could only succeed after a prolonged period of severe economic suffering IMO.
The “race war” is arguably underway, but I don’t see it getting any worse — the discord is souring the taste for Leftism despite the MSM’s desire to portray otherwise.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.
Most of the people that have died in the wars, ESPECIALLY the Civil War, protecting the freedom of all Americans, Black, white, ET AL, were White Males. You would think people would show some gratitude.
I guess being a minority or a woman means you never have to say “Thank you”..
