BRASILIA, Brazil, March 11 (UPI) -- Brazil's tough new law imposes harsh sentences for the killing of women and girls, and the legislation is seen as a victory for Brazilian women.

Exactly.
The historical basis for the authority of courts is that law be administered “without respect to persons”.
Socialists prefer the basis be their say-so.

well then, brazilian women must be much weaker than american women. our women don’t need special laws. they are tough enough to be police officers and can protect you from 300 pound vicious killers, they can fight on the front lines in combat, and, from just watching tv, all judges are women.
maybe brazilian woman are the most beautiful, but i bet they would get crushed if you put them in the boxing ring.

Not only about women; it’s also about men and broader mentality in Brazil compared to the U.S.

Sure, women in Brazil who can afford get a “butt inflation/correction/lift cosmetic surgery” - it’s a regular ‘improvement’ & kinda cheap too. Way more than average Californians do/would, overall, to improve their physical appearance.

I do Not necessarily think laws are an answer; though in this instance, Brazilian men aren’t exactly American men; not even close.
