Welcome to your world - someone has to live there... I do pity you your beliefs though. You must cringe every morning when you wake up.
Anyone paying attention when Bush 1 went to the climate summit in Rio knew the goal of a carbon tax was global redistribution of wealth. That was where Bush 1 made the statement the US has a environmental record second to none. And it’s true, we had unleaded gas far before European countries.
To Progressives, just as with Muslims, lying is OK. The ends justify the means.
If Socialism and Islam are so great, why do the peddlers have to lie to sell them?
Are people too stoopid to know what they want?

Correct. Boomer may think this is some kind of revelation, but this has been the central argument/conflict all along.
It goes like this:
US tells a developing nation not to pollute as they develop.
Developing nation responds to the US in 3 ways:
1. You polluted to develop and caused the problem. You should be paying for it.
2. You refuse to lower your emissions so you can keep your economy humming, so why should we shoulder the burden when you won't.
3. You export your pollution to us. We emit pollution to produce goods that are consumed in the US.
As if we needed one more reason to defund the UN ...

Yeah, but getting it down in print, in one clear sentence, is worth remarking:
"But one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy."
That one-liner, alone, is a real "keeper"...
Show me one, just one, other place and time where the global warming advocates admit to lying. Just one! If you can do that I will shut up about it. I think you were just a bored security guard that night when I posted this. Prove me wrong. This is a lot bigger deal than anyone knows unless you can point me and everyone else to a point in time when they admitted this before.
