My thoughts in a letter to my federal "representatives"

Posted on 03/06/2015 12:11:45 AM PST by Smellin Salt

I am writing to express the disgust and hopelessness about the direction that my country seems to be heading. The passage of the “clean” DHS bill by Senate and House Republicans without even challenging Obamas lawless amnesty was a tipping point for me. I can no longer remain silent. I’m seeing my country destroyed from within and the people I voted for to fix it appear to be sitting around with their hands in their pockets all the while complaining to any camera that comes around about this administrations lawlessness. The American people spoke in November 2014. The message was not to work in a bipartisan fashion, or reach across the aisle, or allow the issue to be settled by the courts, or whatever rhetorical phrase dujour seems to fit. The message that voters sent was to destroy the dangers that are posed by the radical left ideology that threatens our way of life, using ANY means possible. Destroy, not work with, but destroy. I continue to hear the excuse that we can’t fight Obamas lawlessness through legislation, that we need to let the courts decide. Let’s talk about your apparent faith in the courts. Why would you trust anything to a system that has been infiltrated by enemy plants for decades? Saying that we choose to fight some of our battles in court is an absolute disgraceful cop out. You win wars by destroying the enemy, whenever and wherever you find him. The Constitution is being tossed aside right before our very eyes, and the people I voted for to stop that are letting it happen. Shame on all of you. The founders of this great country are rolling in their graves. McConnell and Boehner? Spineless rats. Get rid of them now. It’s time for a purge. It seems to me the Republican party has lost its will to fight. Maybe that’s what Washington does to a person, but it hasn’t seemed to have that effect on the other side. Even though they disgust me, they have my respect in the fact that they seem to know how to get what they want. Don’t even get me going on the Iran nuclear deal. Obama is doing his best to bring on nuclear Armageddon, and yet my elected officials do nothing. Does Congress do a damn thing about anything? Why are you even there? I’m writing this letter from the enemy occupied zone south of Houston Texas, where English is a second language, billboards are printed in Spanish, the for sale signs nailed to the telephone poles by the roadside are in Spanish, and illegals operate in bright daylight because they know they are safe to do so. They buy groceries with their Lonestar cards, and then whip out a wad of cash big enough to choke a horse to buy their beer. Doubt me? Come and I will show you firsthand. No exaggeration, I see it again and again. Now I hear that the FCC is going to control the internet, that the BATF is going to ban certain types of ammo, the list goes on. WHO has oversight of these rogues? I thought it was congress, but I suppose I was wrong. Why is Lois Lerner a free woman? Why hasn’t she been made an example of, and the IRS put on notice and put under complete strict congressional oversight? How can the EPA institute whatever rules it wants when it wants? Why does DHS/Border Patrol continue to release illegal border crossing invaders into our midst, instead of sending them back where they came from? Why isn’t Clinton rotting in jail because of Benghazi? Why is the DOJ going after small city police departments? Even Holder has been forced to clear the Ferguson PD and Officer Wilson of any wrong doing. Do you think that would have happened had the DOJ found a SHRED of evidence that indicated otherwise? What it means to me is that they were above and beyond clean as a whistle. But yet, the DOJ oversight goes on. How much tax payer money was wasted there? Where are the charges of inciting a riot for Sharpton and his vile cronies? Congress does nothing. Boehner goes golfing with his buddy. And now for the big question. Why haven’t impeachment proceedings begun? Is it because the people that need to start them are afraid of being called racist? Welcome to 21st century America, folks. Whether you know it or not, you get called racists and worse every day, only because of your political affiliation. If you’re being called racist, that means they have nothing else to fall back on. Get over it, cowboy up, and save the country before it is too late. I’m afraid that the events of the last two weeks have sealed the deal for a Republican in the White House in 2016. It’s not going to happen. Conservatives, not Republicans (there is a difference), voted and gave the majority in both houses to the Republican party. Our trust has been taken for granted for the last time. I can feel the change. I’m out here with “we the people” and we have had enough. If the people that we vote for are going to act like the people that we sent them to fight, or just sit around while the country goes to hell, then we might as well stay home and allow it to happen with the radicals in charge. I’m going to stop short of saying that I will never vote for another Republican, but I am giving it serious consideration, and I’m not alone. Why waste my time? All I get for my efforts is extreme frustration, and the country is still headed downhill. I have earned my right to send this letter. I served for over 22 years in the United States Air Force, where I upheld my oath to protect and defend or die trying.

I apologize for the lack of formatting. I am a posting rookie.

Anyway, this is a letter that is going out in paper to my Republican reps as well as well as every Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee.

I know it’s a waste of time, but it’s all I can do at the moment.

I know we’re all disgusted and discouraged at the direction our country is going. All we can do is keep on fighting the good fight. Thank you for your service.

You did not lose this fight in the election booths of the nation, you lost it in the classrooms, the press rooms, the television studios, the Hollywood soundstages, and the bureaucratic catacombs of America.

You cannot win it back in the election booths.

Thank you. I greatly enjoyed my time in uniform and sometimes miss it, even though I’ve been retired for over ten years.

If I were 18 years old today, I would not be so quick to sign up as I was back then.

America’s devolution toward dictatorship is a tragedy. Did the democrats really do it for their children?

Your frustration is felt by nearly everyone on the Freerepublic my friend.

My big questions are the same as yours. It’s obvious Boehner and McConnell have to go. They just have to. If they are gonna fight like 2nd grade girls we simply have no use for them.

We need fighters with a spine who won’t cry and who can take a hit and even get a little bloody now and again. Nothing less will do during this pivotal point.

We are just about to the point of all or nothing.

I can't disagree with anything you said, since I feel the same way. I see the majesty of this country disintegrating right before my eyes, and am very frustrated that I am powerless to stop it. Right after the Republicans surrendered, I called and requested the registrar of voters to send me a form to change my party's registration. After being a Republican for all my voting years, I am now embarrassed to be part of a Party that is feckless and spineless. Just because our dictator is Black, they-—for fear of being called a racist, are permitting him to trample the Constitution. By doing so, they have forsaken their oath of office, and are just as guilty as their dear leader.

Although I feel that we do have a few fighters out there that do have a spine, the establishment is going to keep them out.

Think about that for a minute; let it sink in. The Republicans are going to fight tooth and nail to keep true conservatives from voicing their opinion and gaining any type of standing in the party. What does that tell you?

I was listening to Mark Levin tonight and he was talking about states that have “convention of state” movements in their legislative ranks, and how establishment Republicans are moving to stifle those movements.

I no longer affiliate myself as Republican. I haven’t for several years. The Republican party left me in the dust long ago.

Right on.

And until it’s won back IN THE CLASSROOM’S, things will only keep getting worse.

And I have never heard/read ANYONE who has a plan for taking back the classroooms........

I am one who believes that it is total vanity to deal with symptoms rather than causes - and no conservative has a solution for the cause. The Marxists knew and planned to first take over the education system, knowing everything else would fall in place after they did that. Journalism was #2. Even Rush has said we’ll never correct that.

But if we keep going to the root cause, we cannot stop at the takeover of the classroom.

The root cause is not political. It is spiritual. Actually, it’s the church!

The church is no longer a bright shining light to TRUTH (”I AM the truth”.....Jesus Christ), and most Christians are no different in their lives than the world.

The only hope for our nation is first a spiritual recovery, repentance, confession, turning to the Lord........which will take Divine intervention........our first call is to prayer........
