The End of the Charade
3/4/2015 | Jayar36

Posted on 03/04/2015 6:53:57 AM PST by JayAr36

Well Mr. Speaker the charade is over. Obama has received just what he wanted and you and Mitch helped him. You can both now get back in line, knee pads in hand, ready to kiss the bony rear of your leader and ask, "What do you want next, Sire?"

A real man once called some of our foes the, "Axis of Evil." Well I see another axis right here in what is left of America. Between you and McConnell and Obama you are destroying the America you grew up in and it apparently isn't going to stop. A more ineffective Congress hasn't been seen in my lifetime (I am 79). Committee meeting after committee and no one has resolved one thing yet, IN SIX YEARS!

The House, led by what has turned out to be led by one of the most two-faced people in Washington, has just turned this country over to illegals, terrorists, and more welfare recipients. I can't be sure but I believe it was on purpose to appease your donors. This certainly not the actions of any American that believes in this country. I am beginning to think that not only is Obama not American but the so-called leaders we have elected are of the same philosophy. What but any stretch of the imagination can the bill you just passed be good for this country.

This Republican Party has turned into a party of little girls. You are so afraid that someone will say something bad about you that you are willing to sell the CITIZENS of this country down the river. So afraid that you are aiding the Democrats in destroying America daily.

Democrats may be Socialist but I have to give them credit for sticking to what they believe in. Unlike Republicans that put on the charade of doing the right thing only to sell the farm when it comes to actually accomplishing the right thing.

In case you missed it this is one teed off CITIZEN that has given up on hoping that the party I once belonged to for fifty years will in fact do what the CITIZENS want.

I’ve been paying close attention, too close, to politics for 20 years. I’m 38. If I cobble together all that knowledge, my experience with human nature, my understand of the universe based on scripture... What I’m trying to say is my realization that voting is pointless is not just a knee-jerk reaction, sloppy pessimism, or the kind of laziness you see in people who have never voted. I’m not jaded. I’m not suffering from ennui. It’s an epistemological outcome. There is no reason to vote for the GOP. In fact, there is very good reason to not vote for them. It could even be argued that voting for Democrats is better.

"It could even be argued that voting for Democrats is better."

No, that cannot be argued. At all.

Your own FR name says everything you need to know. Why would you willingly vote for a party that hates God, and supports baby murder and queer "marriage?"

This is exactly where the Republicans are headed, and with the exception of a true conservative like Ted Cruz, I won't vote for them. Evil is evil, no matter whether there's a D or an R behind the name.

There are far too many RINO lovers who don't seem to understand this, even right here on FR. It's good to see some common sense on the issue.

The Republicans’ implicitly support Sodomite marriage, abortion, and any number of deviancy. They’ve now made it explicit by giving the Tyrant all the money he wants to complete is fundamental transformation. So what yous say about voting for Rats could also apply to voting GOP.

I didn’t say voting for Rats would be good. However, it would help secure GOP defeat, which needs to happen if we’re going to have a party that represents us in DC. I don’t think that’s the way we should go. States already have huge powers. All the money that goes to DC comes from states.

There should be 2 takeaways from this.
1) It’s pointless to spend anymore money and energy on the GOP in primaries or generals
2) The Convention of the States process should be stopped immediately: When the executive can make up any law and have it affirmed by the other branches of government, what can we expect the COS process to do?

Carte Blanche nullification is the answer. Keep what the states have, jail/expel/kill anyone who tries to enforce the law of the tyrant.

Good article.

I would change only one thing. I don't think the republicans are doing this because they're afraid. I think they're doing it because they support illegal amnesty.

It’s more than “afraid that someone will say something bad about you”.

I’m not sure what it is, but I would love to know. Are they being paid off? Are they or their families being threatened? Obama is on the ropes, yet the GOP doesn’t seem the least bit interested in delivering a knock-out blow. Why not?

Thank you.

I caved in and voted for Romney in 2012-—after considerable prayer and a conviction that God was leading me to not do so. As a result, I received some spiritual discipline from Him. I learned my lesson, and there is no way on earth I’ll vote for another liberal Republican.

a President Cruz, Walker, even Jindal or Perry ain't going to change Congress. Congress will continue to vote lockstep with the Dems. No, this argument has been rehashed over and over. R's had their chance 2000-2006. Not only did they blow it entirely, but they also proceeded to do whatever they wanted, (Patriot Act), which was exactly contrary to what America needed. No, I'm certainly not opposed to President Cruz - I'd love to see it - as long as there's no R next to his name. I've supported the R's for far too long and been proven wrong EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I'm done with that. The GOP is dead to me.

We need to fight. Votes won’t fix this anymore.

Impeachment for treason will solve this. Let's use the process of an exceptional America.

Immigration laws are broken. Since last amnesty in 1986 Latin Americans keep coming here. The contract work I did required lot of labor. Lot of the labor came out job service with phony looking documents but if I questioned their validity I would earn a EEOC investigation. Now days you have e-verify but I’m not going to use it unless I have to (some states require it)just because I was threatened with EEOC just fill out the I-9 and be done.

Kind of like having piece of property that you don’t exercise your right to possession and your neighbor acquires it by Adverse possession. I’m not willing to trouble mixed families here 29 years down the road from the last amnesty when the Government didn’t do their Job.

So you want to blame politicians dealing with King Amabo and the democrats on this funding bill. I sympathize but there are more important things to spend political capital on. Besides that it looks like King Amabo is ruining the Democrats.

You just don’t understand:

“Its simply not the right time to fight this”,

“We need to get this issue off the table.”

“We only have half the Congress”,

“We need the Senate before we can get these bills passed”,

“We need the presidency before we can get anything done”,

“We need the UN to tackle this problem”.

“We need the United Federation of Planets to get involved in this”

They are the party by and for corporate lobbyists. No ideology except the almighty dollar. Obama did the heavy lifting for them on amnesty and Obamacare for their corporate benefactors.

Seems like you might be onto something:

The real reason why Boehner doesn’t stand up to Obama

Since the passage of Obamacare, House Speaker John Boehner has been dogged by critics pointing out his investment portfolio has benefited from owning insurance and medical company stocks that have profited from the legislation. An analysis of Boehner’s current investment holdings includes a number of stocks benefiting from Obamacare in a total portfolio estimated at between $3.5 and $5 million in current market value. Boehner’s Obamacare-related investments trace back to 2009, when the Obama administration was pushing the Affordable Health Care Act through Congress. Peter Schweizer, in his 2011 book on Washington corruption, “Throw Them All Out: How Politicians and Their Friends Get Rich Off Insider Stock Tips, Land Deals, and Cronyism that Would Send the Rest of Us to Prison,” noted on Page 20: “Congressman John Boehner, who was leading the opposition to Obamacare in the House of Representatives, may have been fighting John Kerry on policy matters, but he was entirely allied with him when it came to investment decisions.”

Along with obama, McConnell and Boehner have a leadership legacy of TREASON!

The ultimate charge: complicity in the destruction of the only truly Free Republic to ever exist.

Unless there is a Revolution by “We The People” very soon; their TREASON (which should subject them to punishment fitting a traitor), will be celebrated, everything prior to their reign will be stricken from all the worlds history books and any effort to resurrect it whether in written word or word of mouth will result in immediate death without trial, welcome to the new world order.

Those crazy nut job conspiracy theorists; just don’t seem crazy anymore.

I think the only reason that DC still exists is because when GOD decides to give us the enema he will have someplace to put it.

“The real reason why Boehner doesn’t stand up to Obama... Boehner’s current investment holdings includes a number of stocks benefiting from Obamacare.”

I guess that he could profit from either side of any insider information, without selling out his Party and constituents, if that was his sole motivation. It is certainly possible that he has been bought off by Dems, or that he is blackmailed by them. He might also be bought off or blackmailed by special interests who want some of the same things that the Dems are pushing for - cheap immigrant labor, big Gov programs they benefit from, rigged markets that suppress competitors.

It is also possible that he is motivated by purely political calculations, even if they are misguided.

It is clear he is not operating on principle.
