(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Best Applause Line: “We need a leader who will stand with Israel,” said the governor of Wisconsin.

Crickets: Describing, early in his remarks, his longstanding interest in the founding fathers.

Red Meat: Mr. Walker spoke at length about his record as governor and made broad references to foreign policy touchstones like Israel, Iran and the fight against Islamic terrorism.

Toughest Question: From a heckler, who shouted about workers’ rights. But Mr. Walker turned it to his advantage, joking that protesters had followed him from Wisconsin.

Entrance Song: “Coming Home,” by Avenged Sevenfold, a heavy metal band out of Southern California.

Mood in the Room: Intrigued and mostly appreciative. Mr. Walker’s performance at the Iowa Freedom Summit in late January catapulted him to prominence in the early stages of the Republican race. Many people at CPAC wanted to see if he could deliver again....

From the looks of things here the NYTs says “dance” and the circular firing squad on the right commences.

Senator Ted Cruz was the longest-serving solicitor general in Texas history, an associate attorney general, an advisor to the Bush administration and has won numerous Supreme Court cases, including Heller and Bush vs. Gore, unlike the man you egregiously compared him to.

“Also if Cruz was VP, Walker could teach him about executive ins and outs”

Walker — Cruz. Excellent. It may take 16 years to begin to turn the ship around.

Do you ever read the nasty posts from our FRiends about Walker? In this current thread there are 3 or 4.....I think they are trolls out for really getting either Bush or Hillary elected.....they are liberals who hate Walker so much just like they did Santorum and want to destroy the United States. Can you imagine if FREEPERS had supported Santorum and he won the primary and then the General which he would have no doubt. FREEPERS went to the polls to vote against Santorum...so frustrating over that. But anyway, we could be finishing our Santorum administration going on to a Walker Administration and then to a Cruz Administration......Holy Cow......24 years of perfect governing........how we could have been. That is why I am frustrated.

I’m with you. I like Cruz a lot but prefer Walker.

I would love that. It would be so good for the country. Now if we can just get FREEPERS on board. Like I said earlier......we COULD have had Santorum then Walker then Cruz.....but FREEPERS voted against Santorum and caused the nomination to go to Romney. It was sad in 2012.

I’m sure Barack Obama and Alan Dershowitz have some “impressive accolades” too. Go vote for them if that is all you are looking for.

It’s jealousy people, plain and simple. Walker is dominating.

Cool. That is wonderful. Now we just have to convince our FRiends who would rather lose the Presidency then have Walker.......UGH!

I think he EARNED our votes. The only one who has.

Look. The protesters DID terrorize him at work and home. Literally. He proved his is tough.

Watch out—you’ll confuse them with the facts.

Admire Gov. Walker all you want, but don’t throw around phrases like “he is our miracle.” Putting any pol on a pedestal of worship is setting yourself up for a big letdown. Even Reagan wouldn’t have liked such an elevation.

Barack Obama, so far as I know, has never been inside a courtroom, much less the litigant in dozens of Supreme Court cases. Apples and rutabagas.

Nope. He hasn't earned my vote. Cruz has.

Walker might, but your rabid support of him is rapidly convincing me that you are a shill for Walker, and he shouldn't get my vote.

Calling people stupid isn't a good way to get them to vote the way you want them to.

FReepers are a drop in the conservative bucket but your point is well taken.

I do not necessarily have any problem with that.

Two things I liked is that he said we need a leader that will stand with Israel, I would further add that America needs to stand with Israel, our ally and friend, and most certainly and absolutely not with Iran.

I also liked how he referred to Islamic terrorism. If a man can name the enemy, then a man is already far ahead of our current “president”, who enables the enemy at the very least.

You’re putting too much stock into Santorum. That deck was stacked by the establishment and first-tier Conservatives didn’t even enter the race in ‘12. Blaming FReepers in good standing for Santorum’s outcome is highly unfair and unfounded.

” The hell he went through the last 3 years and STILL is able to get results.”

And he has a less flamboyant style then Ted, which may make him harder to demonize.

He may be our stealth candidate.

I’m more qualified for the presidency than Rick Santorum. That’s the hill you want to die on?
