(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Best Applause Line: “We need a leader who will stand with Israel,” said the governor of Wisconsin.

Crickets: Describing, early in his remarks, his longstanding interest in the founding fathers.

Red Meat: Mr. Walker spoke at length about his record as governor and made broad references to foreign policy touchstones like Israel, Iran and the fight against Islamic terrorism.

Toughest Question: From a heckler, who shouted about workers’ rights. But Mr. Walker turned it to his advantage, joking that protesters had followed him from Wisconsin.

Entrance Song: “Coming Home,” by Avenged Sevenfold, a heavy metal band out of Southern California.

Mood in the Room: Intrigued and mostly appreciative. Mr. Walker’s performance at the Iowa Freedom Summit in late January catapulted him to prominence in the early stages of the Republican race. Many people at CPAC wanted to see if he could deliver again....

Here’s an account of Walker’s CPAC speech from a different perspective:

Anyone know what the three colored bands on his left wrist are supposed to signify?

Yellow I believe is for cancer awareness and the red/blue one is probably part of the red/white/blue “stand for freedom” bracelet. The gray one signifies hope and faith.

We already have Palin Derangement Syndrome. Maybe we need a Walker Derangement Syndrome. The MSM seem to be giving him the same treatment. Hey, if it worked once...

People are more comfortable voting for a governor than a senator.

I agree, it is a horrible place to run from, we all luv Ted, but frankly we need him as Senate Majority leader not this pusillanimous gelded weasel we have in McConnell....

‘Cruz is a nice guy and maybe VP but he is too inexperienced and voters won’t make the mistake of having a one-term Senator again at least for a decade or two.”

So you think that Obama would have been a better president if he had a few more years in the Senate under his belt? I don’t know why voters wouldn’t support a one-term senator because of Obama. It isn’t Obama’s lack of experience that is the problem. Obama has been very successful and accomplished what he wanted to without firing a shot. Think about it. A one-term senator and community organizer completely destroyed our Constitution, turned over most of the middle east to radicals, destroyed our country’s healthcare system and need I go on? Oh, proclaimed himself dictator and neutered our Congress. That’s a lot from a clueless one-term senator.

There is a lot of collective experience in Washington. Years and years of it and look at what a mess they have made of it all. What is lacking is not experience, it is will, love of country, honor, respect for the people.

A candidate may have years of experience in the Congress or a governship but if they are not of good moral fiber and do not put our country first and have respect for we the people and our Constitution and laws what is the point? And as far as I know, Obama is the only one who has experience in running a country by fiat. Whomever will become president will be experiencing not running a country as much as putting a country back together again. In that case, none of the candidates have that experience under their belts.

Who went to college and who didn’t, who is leading in the phony poll of the week, who was a senator and who was a governor or who gave the latest most rousing speech are useless ways of choosing our next president for these times. We don’t have the luxury to be frivolous.

Whiny, entitled lazy socialists are not muslim terrorists.

There are very few other Republicans who are willing to stand up to "Whiny, entitled lazy socialists' let alone "Whiny, entitled lazy socialist news media & entertainment types".

Walker took a pounding from these idiots for a long time, stood his ground and won. Who else currently running can say the same?

He has no clue.

Clueless statement by one of the clueless. These are the folks who mock those who voted for Obama and who don't see the irony that they are also complicit for their refusal to vote against him. They further the irony by claiming that those who voted for him are getting what they deserve and those who refused to vote against him were simply doing their duty and exercising their principles. They are good at whining but refuse to see that they assisted the lawless tyranny that is going. Even though their inaction was every bit as helpful to re-seating Obama upon his throne, they claim that there is a real and sane difference. They seem to think more with their emotions than their brains and they suffer the delusion that they have a higher ground to mock from as they ridicule the Left for doing the same emotional "thinking". They claim that Obama is a narcissist who cannot conceive that he could be wrong, all the while insisting that they are absolutely 100% correct.

Now that they helped give us Obama, they need a reason to be able to maintain the facade of victim-hood, the same type of made-up victim-hood that they mock the rioting protesters for, so their new strategy screams, "Go Hillary! Our principles dictate that you win it lady"...

The Left (and some here) are trying to make fun of Walker for comparing union thugs to terrorists. Walker has a point. Standing up to a hundred thousand union thugs is hardly a cake walk. How many here would like to see screaming thugs storming around their elderly parents home? Union violence is hardly unknown. Walker has received far more death threats than any of the reporters or posters making fun of him.

And he has not backed down.

We have to be perfect.

Well then we're in trouble because nobody's perfect. Maybe that's why we went through every primary candidate last time, looking for perfection.

We're letting a few people with the microphones rule our lives, time to stop.
