Daniel Rosen was arrested at his home in Washington, D.C., about noon on Tuesday and was in custody at the D.C. jail Tuesday night, said Fairfax County, Virginia, Police Department spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell.
Rosen, 44, was arrested 'following a series of online exchanges' with a detective assigned to the Fairfax County Police Department's Child Exploitation Unit, Caldwell said. He was charged with one count of 'use of a communications device to solicit a juvenile.'
Caldwell did not release any other details of the investigation. She said Rosen would be extradited to Fairfax County jail, but she did not know precisely when.
Caldwell said the occupation listed for Rosen is 'Director of Counterterrorism' for the U.S. State Department.

This is from the London papers, where I also get most of my news that is ignored by the mainstream US “media”. If they report this at all, the Washington Post and New York Times will probably characterize his purported calls to minors as “misstatements”. Or, they will ask Scott Walker about why he didn’t do anything to stop him doing this; Scott Walker had absolutely nothing to do with this odious alleged conduct, but he will be expected to know every detail of it and if he can’t or won’t answer, the Post, Times and networks will chastise him as being unfit for the presidency. In contrast, not a word will be asked of Obama or John Kerry, the bosses of this guy.

He will be on “paid administrative leave” for a couple years, while they “investigate” this, and then be transferred to some invisible position for which he will receive the same pay until he’s 60, and then get 100% salary for life as a pension. And we will be fooled into thinking that he will somehow be penalized for this.
can’t wait to hear how State’s spokeswoman dances around this one, probably making the perp the victim.

One of the big problems GWB had was due to the fact that he left a lot of Clinton people in positions rather than replacing them as he should have. Those people wound up working against GWB and playing politics the whole time.

Yes. I remember hearing an anecdote after GWB won in 2004. A State Dept official rounded up the employees and said ‘George Bush won and he deserves our support’. Yet, under the breath of another State employee was heard ‘and Kerry came in second so he deserves our support’. Paraphrased, but you get the idea. GWB’s ‘Compassionate Conservatism’ really came back to bite him in the butt. Democrats SAY they are tolerant and compassionate, but that’s not even close. They play hardball while we just want to be liked. A useless endeavor for Conservatives when it comes to the Media and Hollywood.
