Jeb Bush, a rumored 2016 Republican presidential candidate, just decided to publish hundreds of thousands of emails sent to him during his time as governor of Florida. On its face it seems like a great idea in the name of transparency, but there's one huge problem: neither Bush nor those who facilitated the publication of the records, including the state government, decided to redact potentially sensitive personal information from them.
"In the spirit of transparency, I am posting the emails of my governorship here," a note on Bush's website says. "Some are funny; some are serious; some I wrote in frustration." Some also contain the email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, and social security numbers of Florida residents. The emails are available in Outlook format, and can be searched on the web at Bush's website.

It is difficult to believe he did not know the potential dangers of doing this. Very difficult. These are people who go to great lengths to scrub their own personal info - for their own privacy - out of things and hire people to ensure it’s scrubbed out.

A Time reporter later said the governor is aware of the personal information and quoted him as saying “we’re going to take it off.”
Actually there’s not much that needs to be said here.
Even Jeb Bush could figure this one out if given a few years.
As of this writing, though, the database is still up and running.
“This set of emails on our website is an exact replica of the public records on file with the Florida Department of State and are available at anyone’s request under Chapter 119 sunshine laws,” Bush spokeswoman Kristy Campbell, said in a statement. “We have redacted personal identifying information from two emails brought to our attention. We are doing an electronic search for any additional emails that may fall into this category and will do the same.”

If it is true, Jeb Bush is done. If it is not true, Jeb has a job getting it undone.
Can we get someone who is good with computers to download it all and then find out who’s info was leaked and get enough people who had their info leaked and file a class action suit against this dummy, bleed him dry legally and he can’t run for 2016.
