Former Guantanamo detainee, Taliban commander and recent ISIS militant Mullah Abdul Rauf has been declared dead on Monday by Afghanistan authorities. He was killed along with five others by a drone strike, Associated Press reports.
Rauf was reportedly driving a car loaded with ammunition and transporting five other militants when the missile hit.

Perhaps a good tactic! Track the target and net a bounty of others? I guess it beats just a stalemate (though, somehow I doubt that many are tracked so well...?)
They should leave Gitmo with a homing device implanted in their butts for the Hellfire Missile.
So did the Daily Caller headline writer obscure the fact the guy was released in 2007 (under GWB) knowingly / intentionally, or was it just sloppy, sensational journalism?

Well, I LIKE the outcome, but it would be far more cost effective to have shot him at GITMO and fed his body to the local pigs.

He was released by the Afghans and their security agency says it was Afghan special forces. Sounds more likely, actually.
He defected from the Taliban to join ISIS. Makes it even more likely: internal disputes among factions of the Middle East bloodthirsty.
