By Elizabeth Harrington Published February 09, 2015 Washington Free Beacon

The Department of Defense (DoD) spent more than a half a million dollars on the male enhancement drug Viagra last year, according to government contracts.

The Pentagon issued 60 contracts worth$504,816 for the drug in 2014. All 60 contracts were awarded to Cardinal Health Inc., a pharmaceutical distribution company based in Dublin, Ohio.

That’s what? One pill a week for 1,000 guys? Hardly a big deal (hehe).

Whoa, that stuff really works. Not only did it get bigger, the Admiral managed to both get promoted, and receive the Distinguished Service Medal while the pill was working its magic. He must have pleased someone.

That is a drop in the bucket. IIRC troops can only get 3 or 4 a month.

How much is spent for by welfare recipients?

I bet a lot is related to PTSD. One of the many side effects to the drugs use to treat PTSD is impotence.

So they give a drug to treat the side-effect of the other drug.

Stuff happens to guys; when I get old and need this stuff, I am sure I will be happy it exists.

Wish they had that stuff around when I was in the service. We were having to crush and grind the horns of rhinoceroses by hand, and mix it with fur from the tail of a snow leopard, and rarely were any of us promoted afterwards.

Yep. This is a bit of smoke and mirrors - distract us from the bigger wastes in our government/military (starting with a lot of foreign aid).

I'm surprised they weren't filed under "Readiness."
