DHS needs to be disbanded & shut down and all agencies assume their prior responsibilities with states encouraged to do many of the task DHS was supposed to cough cough coordinate. No more Make Political Friends Jobs Agencies at the expense of our freedom and rights.
The sheriff’s can more than make up the DHS grants by being allowed to confiscate any and all assets belonging to illegals as ill gotten gains. If they’re allowed to do that then we can expect to see lots of self deportation.
I’ve thought about this for some time and I must say that there really is a fix to all of this.
The President and the Congress only have power because the people have given and consented them having that power. To remove that consent is simple in execution but difficult in actuality because of all of the ‘freebies’ the Feds hand out.
Oh yes... to remove that consent simply means ignoring them. If they put you in jail because you ignored them and then the others that follow that route behind you means that the country soon collapses. It’s not the takers that the government should fear, it’s the makers and taxpayers. Without them providing the funds the government needs.
In other words, go ahead Jeh, piss off the cops and sheriffs. When they ignore you or worse actively start examining the Federal agents who break the law on a daily basis then we the people might get our country back. And payback can really be a bit*h.
Well, it is about time Congress uses the power of the purse to curb the man child.
Or, even better, the locals can tell the federal gubmint to pound sand....Congress can just NOT TAKE money from the states and law enforcement can determine its own needs.

If Congress calls Obama’s hand and doesn’t fund DHS then how could the sheriffs, or anyone else in the department’s budget, get funded?

OF INTEREST TO LAW ENFORCEMENT The FBI should interrogate insiders for evidence of multiple schemes to falsify official documents to further fraudulent schemes. The FBI should investigate any and all official documents DHS submitted for review.
Crimes might include---conspiracy, collusion, falsifying official documents (a felony), money laundering, tax evasion, extortion, theft, misuse of public facilities.
Examine DHS insiders, Jeh Johnson, and Obama's tax returns with a fine-tooth comb.....particularly entries for "interest income."
Sheriffs should not be taking Federal money or equipment or training or anything Federal.
He should have a turban, not a crown. He is not in the mode of an old European Absolute Ruler but rather that of a Sultan at Topkapi.
Oh, and, please, please, make it only sheriff's departments or other local law enforcement agencies with a single, democratically elected chief law enforcement officer, not all local law-enforcement agencies. (The county where I live is significantly over-policed, in part because the merger of a city police force and county sheriff's department replaced the sheriff with a "law board", which is less responsive to the populace, since its members serve staggered terms and, thus, can't be voted out en masse. I'd love to see our county become ineligible for federal law enforcement grants!)
