Dr. Ben Carson, a likely 2016 GOP presidential contenders, believes there should be no “philosophical” or “religious” exemptions for vaccinations. “Although I strongly believe in individual rights and the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit, I also recognize that public health and public safety are extremely important in our society,” Carson told The Hill.

The ignorance on this thread is stunning. And no, it has nothing to do with global warming, of which there is NO evidence. However there is plenty of evidence that vaccinations work, and save lives.

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen. Dr Ben Carson does not “get it” from a philisophical perspective. As smart as he is, we know he has the capability, however he has not studied enough on the subject.
The bottom line is that this measles outbreak was not caused “by foregoing safe immunization programs,” it was caused by the flood of the worlds poorest, disease ridden, most illiterate children crossing our southern border and not being subjected to any screening.
Those who so easily forget such recent history, are not valid to be presidential candidates...

Hey I use to think like you until I did the research.
My Grandfather was of 3 General Practitioners in a a small town outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So trusting the doctors and medical establishment was in my blood and DNA.
It was not until I got so pissed off at someone that was challenging me that I did the research, and was shocked what I found out.
Just to give you a little of my background I come from a family of Doctors, Nurses, Attorneys teachers and Engineers. I have had many discussions, debates, etc with them.
My point being is I don’t even like having this debate, but it’s my moral obligation to warn you vs. just sitting back and doing nothing.

1) How many Americans have died from the measles the last 10 years?
Answer = 0
2) How many Americans have died from this vaccine?
Answer = Over 100
3) What does the CDC say is the rate of dying from measles without take vaccine.
Answer = 0.003
How many people die a year from prescription drugs?
Answer = Over 100,000 every year
So on one hand we have the measles which the media and politicians don’t ever tell you how it just showed up. Hint... It’s the open borders just like Ebola which they ignored! Oh but NO MENTION of that right????
So we all these scare tactics when 0 Americans have died over the last 10 years from this, and AT THE VERY SAME TIME the media and politicians ignore over 100,000 dead people from prescription medication every year.
You have to ask yourself why would the media and politicians blame the non-vaccine takers of a disease that has 0 deaths over the last 10 years instead of the open borders that have brought floods of illeagal immigrants and things like bed bugs and Ebola?

If measles vaccines confer measles immunity, then why do already-vaccinated children have anything to fear from a measles outbreak???
If vaccines work so well, then why did Merck virologists file a False Claims Act with the U.S. government, describing the astonishing scientific fraud of how Merck faked its vaccine results to trick the FDA?
If vaccines don’t have any links to autism, then why did a top CDC scientist openly confess to the CDC committing scientific fraud by selectively omitting clinical trial data after the fact in order to obscure an existing link between vaccines and autism?

If mercury is a neurotoxic chemical (which it is), then why is it still being injected into children and pregnant women via vaccines? Why does the vaccine industry refuse to remove all the mercury from vaccines in the interests of protecting children from mercury?
The U.S. government tells us that lead in water is BAD, but mercury in vaccines is GOOD!
If vaccines are so incredibly safe, then why does the vaccine industry need absolute legal immunity from all harm caused by its products?
If vaccines work so well to prevent disease, then why do some vaccines (like the chickenpox vaccine) openly admit that they can cause the spread of chickenpox?
If vaccines are perfectly safe, then why did at least 13 people recently die in Italy after being vaccinated?
If vaccines are backed by solid science, then why do some vaccine inserts openly admit they are backed by no clinical trials?
Geez. Put down the Kool-Aid. Big Picture......Vaccinations that have been widely used for over a hundred years have vastly improved health. My kids no longer have to fear rubella, polio, smallpox, measles, and who knows what else. Better living through science. Yeah, it happens.
