The odds are "always" better, yes. And that's a proven fact. If you're honestly worried about a less than 1 in 1 million reaction, you would never take any medicine, take any form of transportation, or likely leave your house.

I don't support mandatory vaccination for any current vaccines, but your kids sure as hell won't be allowed in public schools, or near my kids.

If your kids are vaccinated they are not in risk from those that are not. So why are you so worried?
