Ryan Bundy, son of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy, was arrested Tuesday in Cedar City, Utah. Iron County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Nik Johnson said in a release that Bundy was served with an arrest warrant while at the county courthouse on a separate case. Bundy, 42, verbally and physically resisted the deputies’ attempts to take him into custody, but deputies overpowered and arrested him, Johnson said. Bundy was booked on charges of interfering with an officer, from the arrest warrant, and an additional charge of resisting arrest.

And you have to go to the link to discover the Bundy son was arrested for failing a drug test. Which begs the question, is he employed in some position of public trust where failing a drug test is prosecuted as a crime rather than simply being terminated as is the normal response?

Is it violating a condition of probation? Smells fishy.

OK ... so my first thought is;

What was the original warrant for ?, because later in the article all I can glean is;

"The elder Bundy brother appeared before Clark County District Court Judge Joseph Bonaventure on Thursday for having multiple bench warrants and failing drug tests, court minutes showed. Bundy was in the third stage of the program and was near graduation, but in its ruling, the court said the program had done all it could for Bundy, and the case was referred back to trial. Bundy’s next court date is scheduled for Feb. 4."

Now, I haven't followed this case, but there's a whole lot I am apparently behind in ..

WHAT program and for what purpose ?

Drug tests ?

Can someone bring up to speed without pointing me to a hundred articles I'll probably not read ?

Any attorney will tell you: NEVER resist arrest; Even if the original charges are bogus, they can still nail you for resisting arrest. Sad, but true.

Horribly written article. “...third stage of the program...” just pops into the text without any foundation or prep. Third stage of how many stages? What program? Why was he in a program? Why was he given a drug test? Why is failing that test a crime?

So many questions the article raises....and answers so few.

Even the picture of the son raises questions in one’s mind.

So what does this make Cliven Bundy guilty of?

His son is 42 years old...if he’s got some issue with the law of his own making, that’s his problem, not his dad’s.

But if LE is targeting this guy because of his dad and “The Stand”, we have a problem.

Any attorney will tell you: NEVER resist arrest

Sometimes not only should you resist arrest you should do your best to kill every last one of the bastards who tries to arrest you.

Being arrested for resisting arrest requires a time machine.

So much for free speech. The Review-Journal didn't like what the people had to say, so they cravenly disabled the comments.

This kind of article is reason I believe little or nothing coming out of MSM and zero coming from corruptgov.

But regarding drug testing, did anyone ever notice those with real power and control over the lives of others are never randomly drug tested?

We're talking about cops, firemen, Congress, teachers, the POTUS, judges, prosecutors, IRS, senators, and the drug testers themselves...and on and on...

But Billy and Judy at HomeDepot are...as are many others way down the foodchain.

Thanx ... I like to think I can read and understand the English language fairly well, but I too saw nothing to explain what was going on, and why.

Atty's will tell you they can get you off, no sweaT ... but if they can get you off ... WE should be able to prevent ourselves from getting ON in the first place
