Washington (CNN)Mark it down as a rare win for House GOP moderates. After scrambling into the evening on Wednesday, House Republican leaders decided to scrap a vote on a controversial anti-abortion measure scheduled to coincide with an annual gathering of anti-abortion advocates on Thursday because they couldn't round up enough support.

Dwell on this GOP-E apologists...the House Republicans could NOT bring an anti-abortion bill to the floor for a vote because there was NOT enough Republican support for it.

Lesser evil and all that jive.

On Tuesday, two female Republicans -- Rep. Renee Ellmers of North Carolina and Rep. Jackie Walorski of Indiana -- removed themselves as cosponsors of the legislation. Walorski later posted on her Facebook page that she would vote for the bill, but she declined to comment on the issue further.

They're liars.

Wow, you still think that elections mean anything? That’s cute. Or infuriating willful blindness.

Everywhere I look, I see headlines that begin: “House GOP Leaders Cave ....” I think we will see such headlines until the GOP is no more.

If I took a shot of bourbon everytime stephenjohnbanker and sickoflibs were right about the Spineless Wonders of the GOP, I’d never be sober.

But looking at the way things are sometimes, that might not be a bad idea...

NC - Helms = Ellmers, a formula for regression.

Just about to mention the border but you beat me to it.

We get a majority and then cave and yet when the Dems get any power they stick to their principles and never cave.

We have a party of cowards and a party of we will push our agenda to the socialist state.

RE :”If I took a shot of bourbon everytime stephenjohnbanker and sickoflibs were right about the Spineless Wonders of the GOP, I’d never be sober.”

This is what to expect the next two years.
The GOP fended off primary challenges this past cycle and believe they won big by not making waves.

And 2016 (elected 2010) will be a tough cycle for GOP Senators due to the states with Senators up for re-election , opposite of 2014 (elected 2008)

So expect more of this.

Lets see what bills they pass that Obama signs, that will be the real problem, not failed bills he will veto anyway.

“No more abortion means no more Republicans. Remember how Blacks have been voting for Democrats all these years based on promises that their lives would be better? No more racism, no more Democrats. It’s the same thing. The emperor has no clothes.”

You are probably right but honestly I don’t think they are
republican at all. I think they are communist liberals
posing as republicans to put up a false sense of opposition
to the continuous move to socialism.

Spot on and the other side is that we need to dominate the thoughtspace. You do that in the media via conservative populism. You have to focus on an issue and satirize the other side’s position to death. You have to make anyone with an ounce of intelligence embarrassed to hold that position.

We’re winning and I don’t know why FReepers cannot see that. We’ve made enormous strides against the natural flow of power and money. There’s a trillion dollars against us and we continue to win.

In 2010, the most recent year for which statistics are available, 138,539 black babies were aborted.

Thankfully, abortion is on the decline in America, down 3 percent between 2007 and 2010, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Strikingly, the number of surgical abortion clinics has plummeted, from 2,176 in 1991 to 551 today. Nevertheless, the CDC report that in 2010, a staggering 765,651 abortions were performed in the United States. Black women continue to have the highest abortion rate of any ethnic group, with a gruesome 483 abortions for every 1,000 live births.

The bottom line? I’ll say it again: 138,539 black babies, nearly one baby in three, were killed in the womb in 2010. According to the CDC, between 2007 and 2010, innocent black babies were victimized in nearly 36 percent of the abortion deaths in the United States, though blacks represent only 12.8 percent of the population. Some say the abortion capital of America is New York City. According to LifeSiteNews, the city’s Department of Health reported that in 2012, more black babies were aborted (31,328) than born (24,758). That’s 55.9 percent of black babies killed before birth. Blacks represented 42.4 percent of all abortions.

Legalized abortion is working out exactly as Margaret Sanger intended. Sanger, the founder of the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, was part of the eugenics movement back in the 1930s. Her goal was to use abortion to cull what she considered inferior races from the human gene pool. According to Sanger, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.” She opened her first abortion clinics in inner cities, and it’s no accident that even today, “79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities are located in black or minority neighborhoods.”

The only thought space that matters is in the super zip-codes. They have the money and influence to change things.

The rest does not matter.

That is the real issue. Both the GOPE and the DEME live in the same places, went to the same schools, and have the same circles of people they work among. Their worldview is the same, and they honestly have no idea how the rest of the world outside of their enclaves operates.

Until we convert large blocks in that world, no amount of media populism will be successful. The candidates for national office come from those blocks, and many from state offices do to.

Case in point, my new Senator Joni Ernst. I have met her, respect her, and she and I share a very similar viewpoint. She will never be on a major committee, or allowed to have to much pull in Washington because she is a farmer's daughter from Iowa. The other GOP senators do not like her, and have been trying to manipulate her into creating a bad image (Much like they did to Palin).

And once she knew the fix was in she comes out in “support” of this bill. How is she any better than Clay Aiken?

I agree. The one thing we could do to start on the right path is stop killing babies. All we seem to care about as a nation are money and sodomy.

We are feckless when it comes to doing right, and a superpower when it comes to immorality.
