Communists do not support the Bill of Rights or free speech! They exploit and invoke them for themselves (so they can perform their "historic mission") while doing their best to deprive their opponents of those same rights (laws against "hate speech," which is anything the Communists don't like).

Dalton Trumbo was an evil, evil man who endorsed every twist and turn of the Communist line throughout his entire career. He defended the Hitler-Stalin Pact and wrote an anti-interventionist book and then, when Hitler turned on his buddy, immediately reversed himself and actually began to turn into the feds anyone who continued to write and request copies of the book!

If the Norks ever do lob a nuke our way (G-d forbid!) I hope they get Hollywood first . . . or maybe San Francisco.

The most subversive films of the last ten years have been the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. They clearly delineate Good and Evil. The themes of courage, self-sacrifice, love and opposition to evil ring through all the films.

Dalton Trumbo would have hated them.

And yet all “news” reports about this new duo of Kanye West and Paul McCartney centered on how nobody would know Sir Paul and how this duet would bring this old white guy into the music world’s spotlight.

you hit that one out of the park. and it can be applied to just about everything that is wrong in our Country today.

Why can (insert any evil, racist, hateful govt protected group) do this?

As you said Sarge....Because they can!

And it will continue until men decide to stop it; physically.

Don’t know if that will happen though. Hoping and wishing won’t solve it.

You’re right about that: hoping and wishing is nothing.

It’s only a case of when, and who.

“And there it was for all the world to see. And my dad put it there.” —Michael Douglas speaking of father Kirk’s decision to credit Trumbo as screenwriter for “Spartacus”.

Douglas’ 1960 production of Spartacus was based on the 1951 Howard Fast novel which Fast wrote as an allegory of his own refusal to testify to Congress about his political involvement. Fast wrote for the Communist newspaper The Daily Worker in the 50s. Spartacus was Marx’s favorite historical figure.
