Erekat Threatens: We'll Dismantle the Palestinian Authority
Arutz Sheva ^ | 5/1/15 | Elad Benari

The Palestinian Authority’s (PA) chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat, on Sunday said that the PA will not agree to maintain the status quo and threatened that the PA will dismantle itself and “hand the keys” back to Israel.

Speaking to Army Radio, Erekat referred to Israel’s decision to withhold the tax money it collects on behalf of the PA, which came in response to the PA’s request to join the International Criminal Court, and called it “collective punishment” and a “war crime”.

“This is our money, Palestinian money that the Israeli government collects in exchange for 3%,” he said. “This is a collective punishment that means that we will not be able to run our hospitals, our schools, people will not be able to get salaries. They’re suffocating 4.5 million people. This is piracy and this is a real war crime.”

Erekat threatened that the PA leadership will hold a meeting in Ramallah and then call on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu “to resume his responsibilities as the occupying power.”

“We are telling him: Status quo no more,” declared Erekat. “Either this Authority and partnership will take us from occupation to independence through peaceful means, or Israel - the occupying power - will resume its full responsibilities.”

“Next week or next month,” he threatened, “there will not be a Palestinian Authority. Israel will find itself responsible from the river Jordan to the Mediterranean, and you will find our kids running after your kids in refugee camps, as you did in 1992. That’s what it means.”

Good. There is no such thing as a “Palestinian.” They are nothing more than Arabs from southern Syria and other parts of the Arab world, a hodgepodge of countries made from whole cloth, with boundaries as frivolous as their geography, their religion, and their population. Never let the truth get in the way of the agenda.

B-but...the UN, EU, O, OIS and UNRWA say they exist. Can all those acronyms be lying?

I figure that withheld money just might cover some of the expenses that the Pee-A causes Israel to spend in its own defense. They’ll have to get their cement-for-terror-tunnel money from Odungo.

I think their overdue bill to the Israeli electric company is more than that amount of money.

I say start paying their past-due bills with that money and anything left over give to some fine Jewish charity :-)

“This is our money, Palestinian money that the Israeli government collects...

How to best fix this?

1. from Israelis;
2. as Jiziya for us; or
3. for my retirement account; or
4. and we steal.

An interesting solution—disband and surrender Palestine, making a greater Israel with more than 50% of the population Arab. For the sake of discussion, if the Palestinians realized this outcome and could agree, could Israel adjust to such a reality? Unfortunately I doubt either side could undo generations of conflict or set aside religion in favor of a non-religious state. Just the same, an interesting, novel solution.

“They’re suffocating 4.5 million people.”

I’m surprised I haven’t seen any “I can’t breathe!” signs at any Palie protests lately.

Except that they’re not more than 50% of the population, nor are they likely to be in the foreseeable future. Their growth rate has gone down, ours has gone up.

"you will find our kids running after your kids in refugee camps, as you did in 1992. "

This means "Reward our bad behavior or we will punish you."

That aint in the cards. That the PA just dissolves and they all become Israeli citizens. It they dissolve, they get to be a captured military district run by Israel. That’s it.

The two state solution is that the west bank gets to become a nation, and Israel returns to it’s pre-1967 borders.

And there is one other option. The “Palestinians” could simply end their murderous obsession with the Jewish state. Then concentrate on education, business, and trade. They might notice they are right next door to a peaceful, industrious, intelligent nation. They could prosper like the world has never seen.

All they have to do is lay down their weapons and be a friend.

But every dictator who has Jewish people nearby loves to scapegoat them to justify their totalitarian crackdowns, and their failures. Hitler, Stalin, Every Moslem country, King Edward in England, the Papacy, etc. The list of despots who need a Jew to blame has been very long.

Single state vs. Two state with 1967 borders. The latter, with continued Israeli expansion, seems impossible. The former, again a novel idea that benefits Palestinian Arabs more than Israelis.

Single state with Palestinians as Israeli citizens, OR a two state where the west bank occupied territory becomes a nation and returns Israel to pre 1967 borders.

IE,,, heads I win, tails you lose.

Israel either gets to quickly live as a minority at home. Or they get to be 10-12 miles wide and easy to attack.
Why not the sane option. Stays as is. Israel run the west bank, no arabs there get citizenship. They are actually Jordanians anyway.
This whole thing is a farce.
