Gun control groups are scrounging for money and ideas as they prepare for the Republican-controlled Congress, which they expect will continue to thwart stricter firearm laws and move to expand gun rights.
Americans for Responsible Solutions PAC, the group founded by gunshot victim and former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, sent an email to supporters soliciting cash and guidance on how to advance its cause in the wake of repeated legislative and election defeats.

This is not the time to become complacent. We should go on the offensive and crush these tyrannical zealots once and for all, while we’ve still got the momentum.
Why don’t they all go someplace where they have GOOD gun control laws, like Red China, Russia, or even Cuba?
Look how well tough gun control laws are working in Chicago and New York City!!
Ferguson and the situations following Ferguson are being noticed by law abiding people.
This is an uphill battle for the Gun Nazi’s, it’s ours to lose, not theirs to win.
Let’s make sure we stop their latest ballot initiatives, those are dangerous to freedom loving Americans..
We did away with the old 30 round magazine limit. There is no magazine capacity limit now.
we made it easier to get your CCW license by decreasing the required hours of instruction from 12 to 8. ^ of those hours may now be taken online and only 2 hours of range time are mandated.
we became a shall issue NFA state which means the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of your state or county can't prevent you from obtaining a silencer or a full auto weapon or a short barreled rifle or any other NFA item by declining to sign your federal form 4.
We also made it legal to hunt with suppressed weapons which is great for people who have already suffered enough hearing damage.
and we will now automatically recognize concealed handgun licenses issued by any state that recognizes Ohio's licenses which should greatly expand CCW reciprocity.
We have also made it law that anyone with an Ohio concealed handgun license no longer needs to submit to a NICS check before purchasing the weapon.
This should be the model for how we proceed forward. For too long we have been fighting a defensive battle at the federal level. We pretty much won that battle. Now it's time to go on the offense at the state level. It's time for the gun controllers to go on the defense. way past time actually.
We have made shocking advances at the state and local levels and, in so doing, we have bought ourselves a grand opportunity. There's no telling how long the window will stay open though so we need to move on it. It's time to chisel some new laws into stone.
Congrats but be very cautious. Looking at a chart of states that have an “Initiative/referendum” process, it appears that Ohio has one in place. That is how the anti-gun radical/anti-constitution folks got I-594 on the ballot in Washington and it is more than likely going to be on the 2016 ballot here in NV. The next legislative session which begins soon for 2015 will NOT act on the petition so it will end up on the ballot in 2016 and if passed will become law on 1/1/2017. We will fight it but no doubt nannie and the moms and margabby kelly-giffords puppet show will be trucking in money to push for it. “They” plan to use this approach in every state that has this process in place. See chart at link below:

We want open carry, and an end to 10 round mags.
Also, no more gun free zones that Forster perps to kill dozens of people without anyone legitimately licensed to have a gun with them to protect others and themself.
The poor little Socialists will not have their dream of thugs walking into homes unafraid of being stopped and the dream of big government enslaving the citizens ala “insert Communist regime here” will have to be delayed.
So sad for the ignorant, bloodthirsty, knuckleheads that hate people being able to defend themselves/s
Our 2A defense organizations haven’t backed off on their fund raising either.
Forgot to add “Others seeking to impose their will and desires” in the first line of “ATTENTION CRIMINALS & TERRORISTS”. Of course I guess both of those words could cover a whole lot of misguided/misdirected IPOS’.
And I know they're going to try to use the initiative process to undermine the second amendment at the state level and it might work in Washington state but I don't know about Nevada or Arizona or any other half ways conservative state. Like I said, it could end up biting them in the a55. Either way, it's all the more reason to write to our Republican state law makers and politely tell them what we expect them to do if they want to keep us voting for them. Red meat like this will bring Conservatives out of the wood work in a lot of battle ground states too. That's something that ought to be considered by lawmakers who need big republican turnouts to hold the line.
Well, those aren’t working because guns are available from other areas!
/libscuse
Attacking is the only way forward.
They got twice the number of signatures required in NV by using the “gun show loophole/stopping domestic violence” approach when gathering signatures. (I saw them approaching mostly women) Well heck, who wouldn’t be against that? I contacted one of our pro-gun state senators and his response was that they can’t do anything about it. They either approve it as written or take no action and it goes on the ballot as written. We will have our hands full trying to counter all the out of state big bucks that will be pouring in. Sadly the IPOS* will buy into it as advertised. They won’t bother to do any research.
*Ignorant Pieces Of Scat.(or insert your own “S” word)
seems like if a bunch of stinking potheads can get enough signatures to get an initiative on the ballot, pro-gun folks ought be able to manage some kind of counter imitative. I always thought Nevada was cowboy territory. WTF?
