Scalise should step down from GOP leadership (Chicago Trib wants Resignation!)

ep. Steve Scalise, R-La., the third-ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives, says he made an innocent mistake in speaking to a white supremacist conference in 2002. How was he to know that the European-American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO) was a collection of racists and neo-Nazis?.

"For anyone to suggest that I was involved with a group like that is insulting and ludicrous," says Scalise, who was a state representative at the time. "I spoke to any group that called, and there were a lot of groups calling." Why, he even spoke to the League of Women Voters, even though its "a pretty liberal group." Scalise says he lacked the staff to vet organizations like EURO and "was without the advantages of a tool like Google" because "those tools weren't available back then."

Tuesday, Speaker John Boehner admitted Scalise "made an error in judgment, and he was right to acknowledge it was wrong and inappropriate." But Boehner said he "has my full confidence as our whip" and would remain in that position.

NOTE THE HYPOCRISY...

Scalise speaking to David Duke's group, FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, is proof he should resign, but Democrats who have spoken to such racist groups as the NAACP, the Southern Poverty Law Center, or the Black Panthers cannot even be discussed, let alone called out.

Racism-While-Democrat gets an obvious exemption from these same leftists "reporters" while they scream for a republican's head.

Now they’re talking about Scalise being pals with the infamous David Duke.

If it was serious he’d have a lot of these stupid talks.

If he is in a district where a conservative could win and take his place, then yeah, he should resign.

If not, he should just resign leadership.

In fact this shows how the whole Boner team should be dismantled from Boner down.

Well you can tell the GOP is back in charge. The democrats have returned to trying to control the GOP by back door methods.

Yes, I note the hypocrisy. Dems are race-obsessed right down to their DNA. They are the true masters of ethnic politics from KKK to Raza to NAACP and beyond; if there is a race-based organization out there anywhere you can bet it is linked to the DNC.

Meanwhile, I still want Boehner out.

two words - ROBERT BYRD

This KKK wizard never caught any flack from the commie press.

(In this case if he and Boehner both go over this - fine by me.)

If it brings down part or all of Boehner's leadership team, I'm totally in support that Scalise should resign from his leadership post.

He never would've been in this spot if at some point in the past 15 years he had spoken about his error in judgement before it came up.

Republicans need to push back hard on these lefties who are trying to dictate to the Republicans what we should do. They can demand all they want, be we can ignore them all we want.

Start picking out some of their hypocrisy and hold press conferences demanding that the democRATS resign for things they did years ago. There a plenty of examples.

These people are looney bins, including the Chicago Tribune.

The Media never asked for the renounce of the powerful democratic senator Robert Byrd, a former recruiter leader for the KKK.

If there was a Duke connection I would wonder, not so much about a white supremacist connection, but about a “liberal” connection.

What about obama’s racist views? Should not he step down too. What about his political views - against American values/ What his religious view - Muslim faith? There are two more reasons for him to step down!

About 15 years ago I went on a community access TV program as a guest, to talk about a city ordinance a lot of folks were having problems with. It wasn’t until after they started talking to me on the air that I realized they were a militia/sovereign citizen group. Even though all we talked about was the ordinance, I wonder if someone would hold that against me today.

Fortunately, the real interrogation didn’t occur until after we had recorded the program. Then they wanted to get into it with me about whether as a lawyer I thought the Internal Revenue Code was illegal, and whether I realized that legally the federal government could not make anyone pay income tax. As I remember, my response was that I didn’t know whether it was legal or not, but I was pretty sure that if you refused to pay your taxes at some point you would be going to prison.

Yeah, David Duke is a big Cindy Sheehan fan but the media has never been interested in that.

The democrats are playing one damn weak hand and the GOP needs to tell them to “F OFF”.

Of Byrdd around their necks as Scalise made his so called "apology"...

But they won't because they are establishment hacks and squishes
