In the grief and shock following the grand jurys decision not to indict the officer who put Eric Garner in a chokehold that proved deadly, one protester remarked, we have to make a change because they're killing us off.
Without a doubt, there is a war on black America. The question is: Who is really trying to kill off black Americans?
Many conservatives who felt that the grand jury acted rightly in Ferguson. Missouri with the death of my namesake Michael Brown at the hands of Officer Darren Wilson cannot understand how the grand jury in Staten Island, New York, decided not to indict Officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner.
As Charles Krauthammer expressed, From looking at the video, the grand jurys decision here is totally incomprehensible. It look as if at least they mightve indicted him on something like involuntary manslaughter at the very least.
Many black Americans are saying, Now do you see our point? Now do you see why we dont trust the justice system?
As protester Courtney Wicker told CNN affiliate NY1, I'm out here because the system has failed us too many times. It makes me feel like there's no justice.
Regardless of the color of our skin or our ethnicity, we need to listen carefully to these charges of injustice, asking difficult questions about failures in our system. Simply to ignore them or deny them wont do.
That being said, it is not the police who are the main culprits in killing off black Americans. Not a chance.
According to the best research Ive seen, roughly 100 blacks are killed by policemen every year compared to roughly 300 whites killed by police over the same period of time.
That means that, although the percentage of blacks killed by police is higher than the percentage of whites, per capita, this is hardly the biggest problem faced by African Americans.
Of course, this doesnt lessen the pain for the Garner family and others, but it does put things in context, especially when we also realize that roughly 150 cops are killed in the line of duty each year.
What about black homicides?
There are roughly 7,000 blacks murdered every year, the vast majority of them killed by other blacks, which means that black on black violence is far more of a threat to African Americans. And while the great majority of whites are murdered by other whites, the percentage of homicides in black America is much higher than the percentage of homicides in white America. (For the record, black on white crime is astronomically higher than white on black crime.)
In response, you might be thinking, You just dont get it. The entire American system is stacked up against black families, so theres a national crime being committed against us every day. Thats why so many of our families are so dysfunctional.
Without a doubt, theres an issue even bigger than black on black crime, and thats the issue of the state of the black American family.
Earlier in the week, in my article on Some Inconvenient Truths about Ferguson, I quoted David Horowitz and John Perazzo, who claimed in 2012 that, The rise of the welfare state in the 1960s contributed greatly to the demise of the black family as a stable institution.
For Horowitz and Perazzo, it was LBJs War on Poverty that resulted in the formation of a massive welfare state, one that took away personal responsibility from many African Americans and instead created a mentality of entitlement.
Were they right?
Thats a subject of massive debate, but the bottom line is this: Whatever our government has tried to do to correct our history of injustice to African Americans, we have not made things better. In many ways we have made things worse, but this is not just the problem of black America.
This is our problem all of us, as Americans and fellow-citizens, especially if we are people of common faith.
Why is there so much fatherlessness, so much violence, so much drug abuse in black America? Why are there so many incarcerated, and why are so many lacking solid education in black America?
While I absolutely agree that every individual must take personal responsibility for his or her life and that blaming others and making excuses solves nothing, it is also clear to me that the whole nation especially the Church needs to ask together: What can we do to address this great crisis?
But theres an even greater killer of black Americans, and it doesnt snuff out 100 precious black lives or even 7,000 black lives every year. No, this killer of black Americans snuffs out roughly 360,000 black lives every year, and it is the ultimate black genocide that we must combat.
Im talking about abortion, and as the Abort73.com website states, Whatever the intent of the abortion industry may be, by functional standards, abortion is a racist institution. In the United States, black children are aborted at nearly four times the rate as white children and Hispanic children don't fare much better.
And while New Yorkers are understandably grieved and indignant over the death of Eric Garner (and others), they also need to consider this: In 2012 in New York City, while black women gave birth to 24,758 babies, they aborted 31,328 babies.
This tragic statistic would warm the heart of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, who stated, [We should] apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.
She also wrote, We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We dont want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.
Yes, there is a war on black America ultimately, Satanic in origin and it is killing off black Americans at an alarming rate.
What are we going to do about it?
The author’s name is really Michael Brown, or did you add that for drama?
Non indictment in Staten Island is no excuse for rioting , looting , arson and murder by black folks.
Another grand jury can be convened, so lets get that done and have a trial.
But advocating mayhem of murder, looting, rioting and arson, , removing the constitutional rights of whole cities full of law abiding citizens, while Obama and Holder do the nod, nod, wink , wink with Al Sharpton? Someone will have to pay. Soon.
And thats why all of the leftists are writing these “soul searching “ articles. When America awakens to action with a roar, the left will not be able to find hidey holes deep enough. And whats more they are sorely afraid, beginning to desert their dark lord in Washington.
Blacks are “killing-off” blacks. Hey...stop it, bros.
There is a HUGE difference between the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases
Michael Brown was a thug who attacked an officer- Eric Garner did not.
But protesting idiots see them both the exact same way, and -here’s the important part- want someone jailed for it NO MATTER WHETHER THEY ARE INNOCENT OR NOT.
This kind of mob mentality where they are willing to lynch is exactly an innocent man- IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE PROTESTING~!!!
The irony will be lost on them.
Black folks need to get that their lives matter. Get off the corner. Pull up your pants. Open a book. Stay in school. Trash the rap and turn on to Mozart. Put off sex until marriage. Dont steal from convenience stores. Dont loot. Learn to speak proper English.
If your life matters, then you will act in a responsible, respectable, productive manner. If your life matter, then act as though it does.
Black lives matter-—but only the few that are taken away by whites. The others don’t get a scintilla of the same vast attention. The irony is beyond comprehension but such is the modern madness and lunacy.
What is the unemployment rate of black college graduates?
A man who had been arrested 31 times pretty much knew the drill. He chose to resist. The grand jusry saw nothing amiss.
I don’t care what Krauthammer thinks...he is wrong. The samy yardstick used to measure Ferguson is the same one to use here: the grand jusry saw all the evidence and you me them everyone else did not.
Why do we allow a bunch of rabble rousers, coomies and leftists to take our cherished justice system and pervert it to a “if you are white you are automaticly guilty” scenario? Where you have to have ironclad proof that a “minority” was 100% guilty and their death was an unavoidable event?
Why do we allow them to rejectt he grand jury findings and reinvent the “facts” to fit their demands? Hands up...really? I can’t breathe...Yah?
You want justice? try honoring the truth.
sorry for all the esses...sticking key and cheap keyboard
it needss a .45 thru it....
From the linked article:
Michael Brown holds a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New York University.
He is the author of 25 books, including "Can You Be Gay and Christian?", and he hosts the nationally
syndicated, daily talk radio show, The Line of Fire. .
This is our problem all of us, as Americans and fellow-citizens, especially if we are people of common faith
I followed most of the article, but I don’t see how this statement belongs in context. Does he mean that I am somehow personally responsible for the state the situation got in - starting before I was even born?
I am not racist and most people I know are not. Most people I know are very generous, too, regardless of skin color. You can only help other people so much. The rest is up to them.
Its our government that has got to stop the kindness of permanent welfare because thats the real cruelty. When necessities are provided for people, they can get into all kinds of mischief with the time they would otherwise spend earning those necessities.
Everyone knows it is the feral black yoots.
It's just not politically correct to acknowledge the fact.
Hello, whites get offed by the cops at 3 or 4 times the rate of blacks, do you see any riots about that?
-——Who Is Killing Off Black Americans——
mostly, it’s POC’s
(POC = People of Color)
This is an excellent question. Let’s answer in order of efficacy:
1. Black mothers. Over 60 percent of all pregnancies to black women end in homicide, er, abortion.
2. Black criminals. Black on black murder is in 2nd place all by itself.
3. Drugs. Overdoses kill more black people than white cops do, or any cops do.
Now, eliminate disease, blacks killed in prison, poverty, and accidents, and you get to police action.
I like this question. It’s worth asking.
By now, we know that this regime are putting all their efforts into dividing Americans along racial lines, is it not conceivable that these grand jury verdicts are viewed very favorable to them?
Taking that one step further, wouldn’t it be conceivable that this lawless regime would go to any lengths to achieve their objective?
I think yes and one cannot put aside that THIS federal government has and will use their power in the form of intimidation, interference and coercion to bring about no true bills in these cases.
Call it being paranoid, on my part and others who may think as I, but dealing with these insidious and dangerous anarchists, ALL possibilities should not be brushed aside.
In my opinion.
what happened to the “ebola is a threat” massive media coverage? it's gone because the election is over. all that ebola coverage was the media did was just purposeful propaganda to distract us from Obama’s failed policies during the election. all of you even on this forum fell for the ebola is a threat to the USA lie hook , line and sinker. shows that people have no idea what the media is and is doing to us.
now it's all this bs that will just lead to incite some blacks to kill white people as has already happened . the media has blood on its hands. this is not news but propaganda. hundreds of blacks get murdered by other blacks everyday but that is not news but this is our of a trillion to the trillionth power events every day in the world the media goes on about garner , ferguson. when will we protest and boycott the media which is the enemy and the problem?
the media creates the false reality we all live in. break out of the matrix
